I Have a problem with this new fogger I just received in a GB. First of all the inside of the topcap had rusted. And when removing the tc the silicone o ring crumbed. So I could tell right away this one was not top quality like the one I got from vaporcigzz. I see the price there went up 3 bucks. Loaded this thing up, nice cotton wick. It leaks like a faucet. I thought the wick was wicking too much. Emptied it dried it blow it out and tried again. Still leaking. This damn thing is leaking through the air holes below the base. .... Is there a fix for this or did I just receive a crappy device? Anybody experience this problem. Maybe there's a missing o ring or something I don't know. Please help!

I just got done recoiling the one that I just re wicked, looking at the pictures I noticed that the micro coil was a mini coil (larger than 1/16") so I made another using a 1/16" rod instead of the 5/64 that I guess I used on it. I had to be sure my wick holes were still acceptable for a slightly smaller ID wick, it's good.
And I mounted the coil with the legs rolling off the top of the coil this time, I can't figure why I did it the other way as it's harder to wrap around the posts.

I'm on my second successful build of the Fogger and I'm enjoying it more and more.

I removed the cotton yarn in favor of a ss mesh wick encased in hollow ekowool. Sort of the reverse of the "stock" wick. The coils (I did 4 wraps of non-resistance->resistance<-non-resistance wire) are wrapped around the mesh "core" and only the ends of the hollow ekowool are in the wick channels. This is way more simple than I'm making it sound, but it's working beautifully.

Had some flooding after the initial fill, but leaving the whole unit upside down, with the airflow ring wide open, for about an hour cleared that out. Now it's hit after saturated hit. Mmmmm.....Old Man juice from roarvapor.

I just finished setting mine up in nearly the same fashion:
2mm Hollow ekowool with a roll of 500 SS mesh inside that was cut just shy of the inner side walls.
I wrapped the coils on the outside however (I'm not skilled enough to replicate your fancy inner-coil-trickery yet) with 0.8 mm ribbon coming out to 0.8 ohms.

Result: It's a brand new day. The tiny bubbles have finally returned! And neither flood nor dry hit in sight.

I am grateful for your reference build, Zipflint.

Would love some pics of either of you two's setups ... I have a feeling SS might be the secret ... I know PBusardo is huge on a SS / Ekowool setup he does in his Taifun.

Is that a custom DIY mod, or can you spill the beans on the builder and where/how much?

And where does one get HOLLOW ceramic wicks? I tried the solid ones and....meh. I'm pretty much
sold on ss mesh or cable encased in ekowool where the resistance wire is wrapped. This goes for pretty
much everything I rebuild now.....

But I'm VERY open to trying different methods. :)

back here again today. glad i only put a ml of juice in as it decided to pee on my provari. I added another 3 ml wick and did the same thing. back to using the silicon seal with just the 2 ml wick. I cut the wick differently on this build extending just beyond the bell. hopefully that will solve it. it hasnt flooded in the last 30 minutes.

Yeah, one thing that's happened to me ... if I cut the ends too short, and I take too hard a pull (especially a primer pull) .. I've seen the ends suck BACK INSIDE the housing, which obviously creates a gaping hole for juice to flow into. I think that's one of the reasons I like using the o-ring, it creates a bit more friction on the end of the wick, trying to make it stay put...

The cutting of the wicks didn't help. it won't flood anymore but its dry hitting again. going to try a mesh wick with the silicon seal and see how that does.

I have tried something that seems to have worked for me, for now. I widened my juice flow to ≤ 3mm (thanks ksin), I'm using doubled 2mm silica but have pulled a strand or 2 from each wick inside the holes. That seems to be allowing juice to pass into the chamber with no dry hits and since the holes are still technically fully covered from the inside, there's no flooding. Thinking I have a successful repeatable build.

Don't buy that rotary tool. It's pure garbage. Doesn't have enough power to do anything with. Barely can polish and of my mods. It's really crap.

Sorry pal but it's not meant to have power, it uses speed. Granted it's a cheap one but the bits alone are worth the price. Mine has served me well and but for sure it won't spin the lug nuts on and off my car, it's not supposed to.

Here's what I use to polish my mods, the right tool for the right job seems to come to mind,

The DNA mod is a mamu Lexi, it's a handbuilt mod. I believe mamu has stopped selling mods, so the classifieds are your best shot and probably in the $250+ range.

The hollow ceramic wick is a DIY wick I made.
