Speaking of which - is there any way to fill the V5 without it leaking all over the place? Wish they'd have kept the bottom fill.

Yeah, that could possibly work. No idea where I put the airflow control ring, though. I always vape wide open (except for cyclops style RDAs), so I took the ring off.

V5 with dual 32 gauge Ni200 on a DNA40 with temperature control set to 410F. Had to lose the push posts at this small of wire and low resistance.

I was never on analogs. I vape to deal with not having a stomach. I can't eat most tasty stuff and I was a big time foodie before my gastrectomy, so I vape instead of "wasting space" in my little micro "synthetic" stomach. It's been over two years and the adjustment has been extremely difficult. I had a rare stomach disorder called Menetrier's Disease (sorta like stomach cancer, but not) that necessitated the complete removal of my stomach.
So vaping has been a method of coping. Instead of overcoming an addiction to tobacco cigarettes, I'm overcoming the (natural) addiction to eating. It ain't fun. But vaping is!

That's the build I use in my Magma at 30-35 watts. Are you running it VW, or mech?

Hm, if on a mech, that'd be running around 25 watts, depending on voltage drop. I have a 0.9 ohm build on my V5 at the same wattage.

My two v5's eventually arrived (from froginfog) and I've cleaned and rebuilt them.
My observations so far:
1. The posts came with screws installed initially (the push-pin posts were in the spares packet).
2. I built a dual 28awg 2.0Ohm coils (1 Ohm) combined
3. It was a bit tricky getting the wires through the post holes (threading them through and out the back) but was easier than the v4 in securing them as they once both coils are in position both can be tightened down.
4. I'm a bit worried about putting too much torque on the post threads as they seem a bit soft (maybe my imagination) - last thing I'd want is to strip the threads.
5. As with the v4, if you screw the tank base ring (the one with the o-ring) all the way down the AFC ring will partially (50%) cover the air holes. You have to not screw the base in all the way. I recommend setting the AFC ring to the desired position then screwing down the base to meet it. You need to hold onto the base when tightening the top tank ring so it doesn't move around.
6. Top filling - not too impressed, the first time I did it there was a lot of juice leaking out of the airholes. On a few further attempts with air holes closed it was better but still not perfect. My other grip is that I have to use a syringe with blunt needle in order to get juice in the tank which I didn't need to do on the v4.4. It is also difficult to know when the tank is full, the only way is to measure accurately or keep going till juice comes out the top holes and then clean up.
7. The top o-ring (for filling) needs a sharp instrument to remove.
8. The juice channels are shorter than the v4.4 which I think may be a good thing for wicking.
9. I am running this build at 28W so far and have given myself a 'head rush' from chain vaping it but so far no dry hits.
10. Getting the amount of cotton right and the ensuring there is no leaks by putting some cotton in the juice holes is tricky (as it always was - as it depends on the juice thinkness).
Overall I am very happy with the new v5 - it performs very well (living up to it's name!), in particular the wicking seems to be improved.

Got an email from yiloong they upraded a few things on the v5.
Top fill hole 2.5mm to 3.5mm
Airflow holes 2.0mm to 2.3mm
Other than these two things everything else will stay the same.

I have figured out a good way to refill the v5:
1. Close AFC ring (close off airflow)
2. Remove top cap and o-ring
3. Fill via either hole (I use a blunt needle so either works)
4. Refit o-ring and top-cap
5. Turn fogger over (upside down)
6. Open AFC ring (open airflow) - juice will run out via drip-tip so have a cloth/towel ready
7. Vape on!
