I have 2 Taylor's, a Martin, 4 Strats (one of which is a '62) and a few custom guitars . I get what you're saying....but you're missing the point. None of my guitars are good enough to make my mailman sound like Joe Bonamassa. This guy in the video is a good enough PLAYER to make a $5 toy sound good

Yeah, but those guitars make it sound great when you play Purple Haze's Smoke On The Water

Good Lord......show me anywhere in any of my posts that says anything about how long something will last or what's better than what.
It's not a very hard thread to follow as long as you're not just looking to argue.
I have some very high end gear....I'm not knocking high end gear, nor is anyone else so far. For the love of all that is Holy, read.

To be fair, all we got was a video of a guy playing a guitar. It wasn't extremely clear what the point was. I remember seeing Rick astley in one of the original posts lmao.

I'm literally shocked that you missed the point. Looks like you're firing on all 8 cylinders in that pic....

you wouldn't believe how much crap I catch about my ears...
That being said, what wattage range do you usually run? It's become apparent to me that I am in a small minority of vapers, but I can tell you that there is a huge difference between the sigelei 213, smoktech alien, the wismec predator, kaos spectrum, and similar devices, and the DNA 133. I will say, however, the performance gap has been closed substantially.

I'm just saying that I notice a difference at 200 watts between devices. Namely ramp-up time and efficiency.

Well, On a regulated mod, I'm running tanks. That would mean a Hurricane V1.3. So, 32 watts with a .3 ohm ss coil. Otherwise, I'm running the same .3 ohm coil on a NarDA or NarCa, or Haku or Soul S on a mech squonker. No 200w here...

I'm not doubting you see a difference. I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for"....within reason. I have some $400+ mechanical squonkers like a pdib Pinch or a Custom Classic that are absolute works of art. They're the finest mods I've ever used and they do hit hard. I'm usually running Floris Little Orca squonkers which are just delrin boxes with copper contact bars and modmaker 510's. They hit very hard too. If you order the parts and then order a sheet of copper from Amazon, you can make one for about $50. The pinch and the CC are nicer to vape on but the atty is the same with the same build regardless...the actual result is nearly identical. I wreck buildings for a living and things around me get nasty and broken. I'd rather that be a $50 mod than one of the really nice ones. My point was, and always has been, that I don't need to use a $400 mod to get the vape I want.

Side note....nobody NEEDS to vape at 200 watts to get a good vape. They just need to learn to build differently. People like you CHOOSE to vape at 200w and thats cool if it works for you. Based on that choice, you need what you need to do it. If I was vaping that high, I'd be more comfortable with a DNA mod. Even at 32 watts I'm more comfortable with a DNA mod....but I used my wifes Minikin for a couple days and it worked perfectly.

Absolutely. Just because I won't use a mod because of my style doesn't mean it's not a good device.

That goes for mods I like to use too. It doesn't mean everyone needs a DNA 250 or a Sx Mini for their builds.

I mean, right now I'm running a build I use for my tubes on my Q. On my tube it runs about 130 watts. I'm running it on my Q class at 75 watts.

It all depends on what I'm doing, too. I like the flexibility that higher end mods give with their power. I'll run temp control on my q, and also run drippers on it too.

but I guess your point was lost on me. Its been a busy day :'( lol

A mech is basically a battery, a battery holder, a button, and a 510 connector. How in the :censored: does one "hit harder" than another (assuming the same topper and battery)? I mean seriously you should be able to get the same "hit" using a decent gauge wire duct taped to the battery for free as compared to an expensive mech mod.

Actually the material that the mod is made of (for tubes) and the wiring (series and parallel boxes) makes a massive difference.

I have a couple mechs myself and I know exactly which ones I use for each build.

My raijin hits a lot softer than my nato (using an 18650 in the NATO, of course) and I've used plenty of ....ty series boxes.

It's all about craftsmanship for mechs.

I suppose you'll have to research that for yourself. If you'd like to believe that all mechs are created equal, go right ahead.

Ok I can see the material making a difference since the case is actually the negative side of the battery and thus adds resistance. The series/parallel part I said assuming the same battery, meaning comparing single to single mods, series to series, and parallel to parallel using the same batteries. Of course a 2 battery mod would be different from a single, etc.
