I'm disturbed by how many members of this forum seem to think these kids should suffer the same consequences we did in order to be "eligible" to vape. Were these people always so judgemental? Maybe cigarettes made people cool after all. I mean, between the clone/ authentic , subohmers/ tootie puffers, addiction/ non addiction, Walmart/ no Walmart threads....seems like a bunch of vapers that should be happy, joyous and free...not to mention GRATEFUL, are just looking for something to complain about. Thank God for them, though....this forum would be pretty boring if they all disappeared.

I must say vapors are a strange bunch. Alcoholics can be much the same. They will go on and on about there 5th DWI and jail time and how the forth divorce was a tough one. Some 25 year old kid will come in and say he has a problem with drinking and some of the old timers will say come back when you've hit bottom. One DWI and one divorce is plenty for some people. I think we all hit bottom but some like to bounce around for awhile.

On the innernet is even harder. The only tie that binds us is smoking and after afew weeks we don't even have that anymore. My other hobby is woodworking and to get deeply into that takes some money, own a single family house and afew other common traits. So most of us tend to be middle aged white men living in small towns or suburbs. So 90% of life has been very simalar so its off to arguing about scared little girls buy SawStops and black&yellow is the best. Here we have men, women, old, young, smart, stupid, scared and fearless and every thing else under the sun.

I have to go to Walmart today I think I will put up a cloud or two in the hmmmm Homewares seems like a good isle. I like to be unconventional. :D
As long as its an ISLE. The cereal ISLE is the preferred spot, but I don't think it's written down anywhere that the Homewares ISLE won't be good too.

What could you possibly need, that isn't in the Hardware/Tool aisle? I even use my trusty cordless drill for cooking.

I bought a new mattress/adjustable base during all the Labor Day sales, needed new sheets and pillows. I tried a toolbox for a pillow and tarps for sheets but the toolbox is hard to fluff and I got cold with nothing but the tarps. :D

A responsible adult should be able to do what he/she/it wants to do.

Smoke/Vape/Drink/ Jump out of a plane with a parachute or heck even call the Washington football team the Redskins.

I am tired of people telling me how I should think or act.

If dude wants to vape nicotine and never smoked.. dude doesn't have to ask mine or your permission.

Yes but it won't stop there.
It's not just taxes, it's BT settlement payments as well.
We are talking hundreds of millions paid over decades.

Look to your state politicians to see who supported using sin tax and BT payments to fund public services and programs, and vote the idiots out of office.
Only incompetent fools would set a plan like this up on the first place....and those fools hold elected offices.

I tried.. now he is running for President. God help us all in 2016. I think our cast of presidential hopefuls were the rejects from the Bad News Bears baseball team.

So I've been thinking. I fully believe that in the next 20 or so years that vaping will overwhelm the tobacco industry forcing many of the companies to either switch to e cigarettes or go under. That's not my concern though. My concern comes once that happens there won't be many ex smokers going to vaping. I feel like people will begin vaping for their nicotine without ever smoking. So many vapers out there seem to have issues with non smokers taking up vaping. Im just curious as to what others have to think about this subject.

I'm not sure I see what you are asking/saying. We don't have to wait for the future to see non-smokers starting to vape, they are already doing it. I know quite a few people who have picked up vaping as a habit, people who NEVER touched a cigarette in their life. They enjoy the vape, and I think they all use juice without nicotine (at least most of them do anyway).

Sure, I agree that vaping is going to take over other forms of nicotine delivery....not just smoking, but also chewing, and other forms as well.

What I'd like to see, in the future, is doctors prescribing vaping to smokers wishing to get off of cigarettes. I think that would be awesome! We already know vaping is FAR more effective then the patch, or the pills as far as success rate and harm reduction.

Also, I'm pretty sure EVERY big tobacco company is already in the planning stages of, and moving towards e-cigs. Some, like camel, have already emerged into the market, and are pushing their own e-cigs.

I think , due to tobacco lobbyists, you will start to see specific taxes imposed on selling vape products, along with licensing and permits and whatnot. The goal, ultimately to prevent more start up e-cig businesses, and to reduce the ones in existence, so that big tobacco can flourish.

I also think big tobacco will probably re-brand themselves for selling e-cigs. Like, they will sell e-cigs under different company names , so most people won't know they are buying from big tobacco unless they do research.

    (sigh)

Much like the bearded dude on "Bones" I like a good conspiracy theory as much as the next person. However, while there might be a single cut off point for all folks vaping (the supply of nicotine) the Fed's, States and local governments can make illegal, regulate or tax the nicotine, finished juice and equipment out of existence.

Raw PG, VG and flavors have other uses. Premade equipment can fall under "illegal and regulated drug dispensing stuff" which retail and mail order sales can be banned.

Those with enough skill and abilities can re-create and produce (like was done in the beginning) 'vapor equipment' however it is rather unlikely that the fit+finish+features of modern APV equipment can be made (unless of course the "powers that be" were unable to ban/restrict the sell of the chipsets that power our devices) and as others mentioned, while we may still be able to create our own juice and equipment we'll still need nicotine to mix in to make the whole thing worth while for many of us.

Envision: taxes on the mg per ml that bring the cost of 1oz of unflavored nicotine base to cost higher than a carton of cigarettes with licensing and restrictions on bulk sales of nicotine (if not already the cost) that will make the DIY'er unable to afford using nicotine at all.

Tax, regulate and restrict the nicotine supply and kill vaping as we know it. It is possible.

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm personally not interested in vaping 0mg - much like so called de-caff coffee - I just don't see the point.
