Paul, I took some pics for you, this is how much my pos pad sticks up
and this is how much the screw can be raised to touch the upper chamber. in this shot it's just touching and shows shorted
and this is 1/4 turn in and doesn't touch at this point
here it is with a 30ga coil tightened down
I've done 28 too and one time I thought the coil was too high, but looking at this now I don't think it was actually the coil too high, I think it was because I wrapped the 28ga around the screw so it didn't tighten down low enough, as long as I don't wrap the wire all the way around the screw then 28ga works
also, I vape all VG, I played around with wicking in this thing and to get a good feed I wind up having a very loosely packed wick, so much so that it was sporadic, so I winded up drilling out my 2 feed holes... original holes were a loose fitting #52 bit, I went up one size to a #51 bit and it's better but I'm still finding that I want a little more feed, still doing primer puffs from time to time so I might drill it out to a #50...
