The B version from FT is different then the one Gearbest sells, the first listing from FT is same as Gearbest, and the same one you & I both have. Mine does not have any sort of o-ring on the chimney either, and it works fine, I've had no leaks. my 22mm ring is just fine, is your threading messed up? I noticed it is quite fine threaded and takes a little fiddling to get it started.

As for the 510 pin, mine could due to be a little longer, but it works fine, I added a couple o-rings on it to stabilize, and prevent it from turning in when screwing it on a mod.

Good luck on tickets with gearbest, my last experience with customer service was about 3 weeks to even answer, then a few weeks between each response.
Good to have your experience with gearbest shared. I will try O-rings. Yes, threading with my 22mm is a total mess while 21 mm is smooth as butter. Is the fasttech B vesion fine? I guess you mean $20.10 GEM Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - 5ml / stainless steel + glass / 21mm dia. at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping .

Yes that would be the one you do not have, I'll probably order one in the next few weeks, going to wait and see if I can catch it in stock, or ships next day status.

Any chance for a little more clarification on the o-rings around the 510? Trying hard to figure where on the pin these are going?

I've moved to a single very small o-ring, it rides just below the plastic 510 insulator in the 510 housing, stabilizes the pin pretty well, and adds a bit of resistance to help prevent it from turning in when screwing it on various devices. Really the 510 pin should have been a mm or two longer, but it works.

I just got mine in today.

I like the vape as it's actually quite different from my other tanks, the flavour isn't stronger than the Squape, Ubertoot or Taifun but it's sort of more defined. I would expect this tank to be very good for a crisp and fruity vape.

I've tried a ss tc build about 8 times in various configurations with zero luck, it's blown the coil every time. My thinnest gauge is 28 though so maybe I'd need 30g minimum to stand a chance.

Kinda disappointed as I'm really into tc at the moment.

I got around the problem with the short 510 pin by adding a tiny o-ring to it between the threading and the smooth part (looks like there should be one there anyway).

Not sure, sometimes I think I'm in minority (big time), but I have tried TC mode many times (with nickel builds) and just have not been happy with it. Probably doing something wrong, but so far I have not gotten a satisfying vape using TC. Works fine, but seems to just not have the fullness that I get with kanthal builds. So, I am not concerned with the GEM not working all that well in TC.

I've had the same 2.5mm .5 ohm SS 316L build in mine since I got it, works exceptionally well in both TC, and Power mode. Still have had no issues with it at all, solid performance in both TC mode, and power, no leaks at all. Currently have it on an old Origin 21mm mech that has been sitting on my shelf for quite a while, makes a nice combo.

You should try some Stainless, or Titanium wire for TC, I prefer SS.

@ccwaters do you know what size o-ring you had to use on the 510 pin? I just got mine today and none of the o-rings I have are going to work. I have 3X1, which is too large, and 1X1, which is too small. I was getting ready to order 2X1, but wanted to make sure it wasn't some other odd size first. :D

Sorry not sure on the size, though I would guess 2x1, I have a big box of extras from spares included with atomizers, that is where i get most of mine.

As an alternative you can use a rubber insulator from a protank type head if you remove the hard plastic one, at least until you get your others.

Yeah, I looked through all my spares, and of course I didn't have the one I need. :D I'll check out some old coil heads. That's a good idea. And maybe order a couple more o-ring sizes that I don't have. Thanks!

Mine is not here yet... :(

Would a Kayfun air flow grub screw be the right thread and length to screw into the 510 hole first, then tighten up the 510 pin against it?

Hopefully that fix won't be too imaginative...

On another note, my SQRs and Snapdragon should be in Halifax tomorrow and I should have it by Wednesday or Thursday.
