I got my free red auto battery in the mail today! It's really pretty. It's a deep looking red, sort of a silky burgandy color. I love it! Thanks again Imagine and SI!

Who is going to stage/conjure a shot just to get a free $15 part/bottle of juice? By the time you spend the $ on lightroom/photoshop or another $400 photo-editing software, you've wasted the point of getting a free $15 item... And I'm pretty sure that when they say "no photoshop" they mean no cut-paste/layering/imposing of any kind. Just take a real, simple, honest picture of something you paid for, and they'll do you a favor back by giving you a freebie. Tossing a bone our way for showing that we enjoy our purchase, and SI gets some faces to go with the reviews, and it's a win-win... Because the more we enjoy the products, the more we'll buy them. And the more we buy, the better they will get.
Thank you so much for the free battery! It is black with a purple lighted tip. For some reason it does not fit the CE3 clear cartos but it does fit regular cartos. Wierd! But I truly appreciate the freebie!

I have to ask, what do you mean by doesn't fit the CE3? The CE3 is an 808 thread just like the polyfill caromizers.
Yep, it's really weird. The new battery will not screw on tightly enough for the CE3 to make a connection with the battery. It screws on about halfway, and won't budge beyond that. But it does fit perfectly on all the other 808 threaded cartos. Not sure why...
I did try a couple CE3 cartos just to be sure I wasn't using one with faulty threading, but the battery wouldn't screw completely onto to any of them. Oh well, I still use regular cartos sometimes, too, so it will be fine with those ones.

Hmmmm, that's really strange. Never heard of that problem before with CE3s. I'd suggest you either open a ticket with SI or give them a call. I have a total of about ten 78mm batteries and three X2s and all of my CE3s fit all of those batteries without a problem, well, other than an occasional center post adjustment to get them working.
I don't know if I was able to capture it clearly with my phone camera, but here is a picture of the battery screwed onto a CE3. Not sure if you can see the gap between the battery and CE3.

If I had paid for it I would have let them know about the problem, but I didn't want to sound like I was complaining by opening a ticket with SI since it was a freebie and I can still use it with the other cartridges. It is kinda strange, though!
I can see a tiny gap where they join in the photo. I just checked a few of mine and there is a slight gap on some of them, but the CE3s work fine anyway. If it's not firing, producing vapor, just use a small jewlers screwdriver or even a push pin to slightly pry the center post of the CE3 up just a little bit. Alternately, you could adjust the center post on the battery in the same way, either way that should cure the problem, but do it carefully until you get a "feel" for how they "adjust". It's actually a fairly common thing and I have it happen, usually, when I use a CE3 on an X2 battery.

Glad it worked out! Battery posts can be a little bit of a pain, but if you adjust them slowly and carefully they usually stay wokring after that. Don't worry about spelling/typos...I seem to get more dislexic on a daily basis
