I'm pretty new to the world of e-cigs too (however I smoked a pack a day for 15 years) and I am totally excited too. It is amazing how much satisfaction I get from my Volt and how just like that I'm down to just a few analog cigs a day! So exciting!
Got my beautiful new baby today! I posted a review, so I'll do a c&p of it here:
I ordered the $29 starter kit on Valentine's Day, and it arrived today; I had expected it yesterday, but I use a goofy rural post office (so, toss the rules right out the window LOL). It was shipped in a bubblewrap plastic mailer, and the unit itself was also well-wrapped in bubblewrap; waterproof and pretty durable, unless you run over it with something. The box containing the unit -and the packaging itself- was VERY cool. Loved the graphics, and loved the magnetic closure on the box. All the little details count; it helps make a product look like quality.
The battery was sent fully charged, and as for the battery color- oh wow, it is just gorgeous! I chose purple with a purple LED, and they really look great. I had simply wanted something that was similar to a real cig to puff on throughout the day, and felt the Volt fit the bill perfectly. I chose the vanilla prefilled carts, and the flavor is okay. They're definitely sweet, and I can taste the vanilla, but honestly? I like the flavor & complexity of Blu's Vivid Vanilla a lot more.
Verdict so far? Love it.

Started vaping almost a year ago with the Volt starter kit. Moved on to bigger and better things first with the x2 650 and now a 1300mah Spinner. But if it wasn't for that inexpensive little original kit , I would've never found out about the awesome product that Smokeless Image offers.

I failed at every other attempt to quit smoking - even Chantix didn't work for long. The Volt has been both fun and exciting to get to know. I have not had an analog since I got my Volt kit in the mail. I look forward to a longer, healthier life thanks to vaping.
Smoked 1 PAD for years... Tried multiple times to quit cold turkey.. Never happened for longer than a day or two. Tried a variety of gas station type e-cigs. None of them stuck. I'd just end up paying MORE money for their overpriced cartridges AND cigarettes. Decided to get serious about quitting and get a quality piece. I love the Volt! I'm so happy with my purchase of a Volt starter pack, complete with everything you need to get started. The regular Volts are the perfect size to resemble real analogs if you don't want to stand out too much. I've since gotten more juices (both cartos and bottles) from Smokeless Image and have another battery on the way. What a great simple setup to start vaping with. Sooner or later I'm going to get one of their bigger X2 batteries to use while hanging out at the house.

Hi Purple - I got a kit with 2 78mm batteries, [extra dollar each but they do last longer per charge]. I picked one manual and one auto so I could see which I like better. I like the manual better. It came with a charger, sample packs of all the flavors I could. That would get you started on the right track.
It is sort of hard to know which juice you will like so you can definitely order a bigger bottle for refills but you can also wait to see after you have tried your samplers.
Love my new Volt! I quit smoking a few years ago, but always missed the comfort and the action of smoking. Now I can have my cake and vape it too! All of the stuff I missed most with none of the bad stuff I gave up cigs for. Thanks Volt for giving me back my freedom!
I've had Volt products from the start of my portable vaporizer journey and love them! My manual 78mm has been exactly what I've needed to help kick the nasty habit of smoking. Thanks Smokeless Image!
