Ok I stopped in Ogden UT and bought my Omega for my drive back to Columbia SC. This morn started just like all the other's I'm sitting here drinking my coffee and vaping away (love the omega) And the *ss in the truck parked next to me keeps looking at my while I'm vaping. So it's time to leave and I'm going down the road minding my own business. And all of the sudden I got a cop behind me pulling me over.. I'm like WTF the speed limit is 75 truck only does 72mph I'm good to go. Well up he walks ...... as all hell... Tells me get out of the truck and takes me to the front of the car.. Now I'm like WTF this guys done lost his mind.. He should know who we are wtf is he doing. Each time I asked he said "don't worry about it" So he sets me in his car and goes off to the front of the truck and opens the door.. Gets inside and with in seconds gets out with my omega and ego T. Both with j tanks. And hes happy as hell now.. Comes back gets inside the car and say. Here in Nebraska son we take drugs very seriously. And I'm like thats great but those arent drugs. And the SOB ignored me and within a few min two more cars show up. They are outside talking and I guess thinking about taking me to jail. So he come back and with I guess his boss and asked me to explain what this is why I have them ect. And I'm like its about f'ing time.. So after explaining it and them looking it up on the computer in the car and reading about it. He changed his tune.. So still sitting in the back of the car he's asking an *ssload of questions. And I'm like do you smoke. And to shorten this a little. He got to try it and loved my chocolate mint and may end up ordering. Thanks to the site I was able to send him here. So he could get a better idea.. Turns out he wasn't that bad of a guy but still.. WTF ..... :vapor:

Don't know where this is (Utah?), but if you were not cited or arrested then there likely was no probable cause to search your vehicle without a warrant. If you did not give them permission to enter your vehicle this is an illegal search.

If it were me, I would be less than "happy" and would have a lawyer ready to file suit.

The cop would probably claim that he had reasonable suspicion that there were drugs in the car based on the phone call from the nosey ...... in the truck next to him. Regardless, I would hope the cop would need something that he had actually witnessed firsthand. But the whole system is so corrupt and in kahootz with each other I wouldn't expect much to come from a lawsuit anyway. Am I just cynical? Yes, of course.

This is something I have actually been worring about. It does not help my husband calls it my "" pipe. It does look a little odd esp. with a tank or a xl CE2 and fully except questions about it. I told my husband between him being a diabetic and have syringes in the car and my PV we would be a cops dream.

No shocked I didn't get cuffs ....... Why send them free kits ... Like whats the point education?

cops are heavy smokers. nurses as well. goes with the stress. that 'roll your own' shop in nyc is owned by a retired cop for example.

the point would be twofold. education and expanding the market.

not that they can't search and arrest you for pc. it looks like a crack pipe. at the station you're finally going to be released. after they do an analysis.

it's just an unnecessary hassle that can be avoided with a little smart marketing couched as education.

Wow, that sucks that you got pulled over for it, but nice to hear it worked out in the end. I have a cop story of my own, though not nearly as dramatic as yours.

I got pulled over for speeding (and got a ticket, boo!) and while the cop was off filling out the paperwork I started puffing on the pv pretty good. When he came back to the car I was mid drag and he gave me a raised eyebrow look. As I exhaled I quickly said "personal vaporizor" as if those two little words would explain the legality. His response was to lift his other eyebrow. I laughed and told him it was an ecigarette, and that seemed to satisfy him (you could see the lightbulb ding over his head), he looked curious even, but didn't ask any questions and I wasn't in the mood to explain anyway. lol

In CA when we were issued a drivers license we also gave the right to search if they have a probable cause. If he thought drugs were in there he has the right to search.
