I don't agree at all Imeo. The Caravela switch is different in several ways from the GGSlim: the threads that secure the locking ring are reverse threaded, and they actually screw directly into the main housing of the switch (male threads on locking ring, female on switch housing, which is opposite from the GGSlim button and all other GG buttons since), so they're recessed into the body of the switch housing and no threads are ever exposed. The Caravela switch also does not use a delrin insulator at the base of the battery. Instead, the walls of the button housing were left slightly thicker so that they would only touch the battery's wrapper, thus serving as a built in insulator. The switch also has a vent hole hidden inside of it so that the mod doesn't require any visible holes on its surface. As for the positive post, it does use a system that's similar to the Stealth, but it's definitely not identical. The biggest similarity is how it uses a threaded piece of black delrin to insulate the positive contact, but that's something that every mechanical mod must have, and Trogg even did that in the original SD at the very end of 2008. The contact itself is similarly threaded, but it lacks the hexagonal base that the Stealth's post has, and instead it basically uses a retrofitted flat-head screw. While the Stealth has a spring in the ground connection to ensure a snug fit with your batteries even if you raise or lower the positive post, the Caravela comes with 5 different sized positive posts to serve a similar function, but the Caravela posts can actually extend much deeper into the 510 connector than the Stealth posts do.
I'm really not trying to be disrespectful here Imeo!!!!! I am just passionate about both my GGs AND my Caravelas, which are, in my opinion, the two very best devices on the market currently, so I don't like to see either of them insulted or accused of things that are not true. Believe me, God forbid if Pedro ever accused you of stealing from him, I wouldn't spend 30 minutes writing out an explanation for everyone to try and add some clarity to the situation, I would probably just sell my Caravelas out of spite (NOTE: Pedro has NEVER EVER EVER made any such accusations, he is actually an admirer of you and your work, I was just using that as a hypothetical to contextualize where I'm coming from). The one thing that Pedro definitely copied from the GG is attention to detail, as both are truly perfectly machined and finished devices! Something else worth noting here is that Pedro does not own and has never owned any GGs, and he was actually inspired to make the Caravela because he was never able to get a GG!
