Actually had to set the alarm this morn as I have lots to do before Tuesday morn gets here..
Havin my first mornin coffee and some Banyan Tree mixed with a very small amount of Altoids strength peppermint.It's not too bad actually...need something to wake me up this morn..
@tiggerrts ..hope to see more stories..that was fun..and you do have a talent for story telling...cuz ya know many of us so well!.... an author worth his salt has done his research
Hope y'all are havin a pleasant and relaxing Labor Day Weekend..yes..even you folks who still have to work...It's a day set apart special from all the rest, an excellent excuse to add some fun to the routine.
Saw a pick up driving thru downtown yesterday wavin a big American Flag off the cab of his truck
Jack rabbits nibbing on my grass outside the window...Those BIG ears!! ..can't help but bring a grin to my face.
Kitty..Miss Screamer Kitty ( not her real name, but her new term of endearment)...presented me with a mouth full of lizard yesterday...this one I managed to catch and return back outside..The day before I was not so lucky and it high tailed under the sofa...hoping it has found it's way out
There are more than 20 species of harmless lizards around these parts..mostly the small ones. And most of them around here, if they are alive,(poor things) are running around with munched off tails.
In Okinawa, the guys used to catch them and paint them with White Out racing stripes...geckos in your house are considered good luck over there..( I wonder if High Desert lizards count??! .) Yeah, I've worked with some crazy guys..

1. Good morning.. not sure why I woke up so early, but I did and couldn't go back to sleep.

Welcome to all the new tree peeps.

Shawn, congrats on your winning streak!

Count, I hope your prize shows up Tuesday.

I ordered something last Monday and it got stuck in Cali. and hasn't showed up yet. Then I ordered again from Cali. I think Thursday and got it yesterday. USPS isn't on their game at all. I usually get stuff my friend in Atlanta sends in 2 days and she sent me something Wednesday and it still shows as in Atlanta. I've got packages all over the place floating around from here to China. I finally got tracking for the China one and surprise.. it's not tracking.

Off to get more coffee. I need it.

What do the rules mean by substance? Just saying something of value? Not just a general entry like most?

Welp...as some of you may know from the smoktech giveaway thread...I'm a new mommy of twins. And my baby girl has a little diaper rash, which I've never had a problem with before in either my boy or girl. I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Putting some desitin on it and hoping that clears it up.

"Substance" is like that ethereal stringy stuff that Dumbledore pulls out of his head with a wand...*giggle* ...and then tosses into the Pensieve to share his thoughts with others...It's just basically a few words..or more in my case ...can be a story, like @tiggerrts ...but it is written word in addition to a Tree Pic (somewhere in the post) or even a ...Most of us are a friendly bunch..(after we have had our coffee..) and will help you along...@Uncle is here to help us along ,too...though he does have a wicked sense of humor ! Welcome.

Whoops, just noticed more to your post...Have friends with a gaggle of kids..they swear by A&D cream ...smells awful,inexpensive... but does the trick...Try a little on a non rashy spot to make sure the little one has no allergies to that..she shouldn't as it's mostly petroleum and lanolin ..Will leave the tech advice to the moms and Dads out there

Yep, that is substance. We just talk about ourselves, and get to know one another, and talk to one another about anything you like..

if you include a picture of a tree in your post - if you happen to win then you will get an extra bottle of e-liquid in your win... it is The Vape Tree, and as such, its a celebration of the gracious company who is doing this wonderful giveaway..

You can always edit if you like.

And yes, desotin is usually the answer to such new mommy difficulties! hahaha.. I would love to see pictures of the babies if you ever feel like sharing!

The only thing I really have of substance would be some writings I did a few years ago. And I will gladly show off my loves! They're too cute not to. (But maybe I'm just biased. )

Their names are Erick and Ava. Just turned 3 months on the 2nd.

Not to worry...lots of parents here to offer a shoulder . My Mom spent about 3 months with each of my bros first borns ...niece had a horrible case of Cradle Cap...Grandma brought a sense of calm and sanity..and she knew just what to do

@rangerrobin - I saw commercials for that movie, and I thought it looked really good. Do you recommend it then? I may watch it after company leaves, as for a couple days after I wont be able to do very much..

Also - "GMO" wanted to create a more friendly safe place to just hangout too . . . SO - Even a "Good Morning" or "Good Night" post is "Substance" (BTW: "jpf" coined the "Good Morin'Night" phrase since there are people from different time zones here) . . . Just Sayin' . . .

I've probably been remiss in properly welcoming the new folks. I bounce among so many threads regularly, I don't know my backside from my frontside

@jpbavaro - those babies are darling I've never had kids of my own (they actually frighten me somewhat ) Desitin has been around for a loooooong time. I'm guessing that will work.

Trying to get motivated to attack the day. Not an easy task Even the dog has no motivation - she just huffed the most paw-thetic sigh.

One of the big reasons I bought my current home a few years ago was because of all the trees. 4 acres and hundreds of trees!! Most of them are White Oak, and some look a lot like this pic...

Blight has been spreading in this area, but so far my trees are good... (knock on wood lol)
