Don't apologize, @LynnNC. We all have our ups and downs--and while our downs may seem trivial to those of others, they are still, nonetheless, important to you, yourself, and thus perfectly reasonable to share. Those of us who have been in or are in similar positions can empathize, whether or not your situation is better or worse, while those of us who do not face such a situation, can at least offer our sympathies and offer a willing ear. That's part of what makes this group special. Also, please realize that "likes" for bad things or sad situations, are a measure of support, as well. BTW, is that you in the picture as well?

I'm afraid I must sign off for dinner now. Good night, Treefam!

Count, no that's my brother's fiancée. They didn't live together but she was ever so much his wife. That's her dad behind my brother and her nephew in the wheelchair(he has ALS) beside my brother.

But of course, mon ami. The sad part comes when frowning only burns a couple calories but you eat a couple thousand (more than the maintenance level) when you're in that bad mood. :(
There goes my idea for hitting the late-night airwaves pitching the Fabulous Frown Diet ("Frown your way to a slimmer gown!")... oh well. :?:

@liblue1, you won a tank and a device...

Man I don't know why it is that the people who live with me, that I take care of, that I love and nurture and worry over, think that they need to eat too. I mean they are polite about it and not demanding, but every day?!?!
Edible food even?
Why?
Told you all I need a chef

Smile, Because she who cooks doesn't do dishes, but she can use every one in the kitchen to cook with when in the mood. So smile, and ponder what I am about to unleash. Bwahaha

I know, right? I'm solving that problem tonight by getting hole-in-the-wall Mexican. :)

Good night, Treefam!

Mornin Tree fam. Just checkin in
I slept pretty well last night ....thankful...cuz the past couple daze have been a beotch running on little sleep.
Wondering what the news world will tell me this morn that I didn't know last night.
Still prayers going out to the families and loved ones of those caught in the web of senselessness in San Bernardino. There is no reason...no logic to it ...and we cannot understand that which we could never imagine in our hearts.
There are videos out now on what to do in an "active shooter" scenerio ...If fate should roll the dice and you find yourself at the mall, in a restaurant or at a movie theater should your fate collide with man's free will.
Educate yourself...stay alert and aware ...Have a Plan.
We don't need to barricade ourselves inside our homes and pray that harm never comes to us...Or go out into the world as if we were running point in the rice fields of Vietnam ...I am just saying ...Be Aware.
People walk around with their faces stuck to their phones and totally oblivious to their surroundings.
I wouldn't be me if I kept silent now.
Other than that...Take a minute today and think outside the box ....what is your "box" ....and what possibilities lie beyond it ..... are they really out of reach ...why ...and who says so ...
Peace and Love to each of you

A couple ago I worked some on an Air Force Base and we had all kinds of drills. Some were base wide drills and some were building or area specific. I went through at least half a dozen "active shooter" drills, but we had all kinds of drills. We had active shooter, hurricane/tornado, fire, chemical spills, bomb threat drills etc. You name the drill, we probably had one.

There was a couple drills, but they refused to tell us the type, just herded everyone into different areas. We had a delivery during one of those type drills. The delivery guy was unloading his truck when it started and was completely unaware and came back in and the building looked deserted. There was no one in the halls or offices, we were in some inner rooms. During the drill one of the security officers said he saw him wandering the halls, his superior told him that the delivery driver was on his own and under no circumstance is the door to be opened to let him in. I went to the officer and told him that the driver was mine and he just glanced at me and said "Too bad, he's on his own now"

I found out later that it was a terrorist drill, but did not want to announce it.

Vape? But of course! I brought about 200 ml, 7 tanks, one dripper, and 7 mods. Overkill for a three day show?
