Quite tasty but small.

If I recall correctly, your boss was a MAJOR jerk.

With your skillset, you won't be unemployed for long !! Enjoy the hunt !!

6/21 - 1: Good morning all, tired of the third person. My name is Ryan, the former boss's name is Matt. I was fired this morning. He said his hand was forced, I am talking to the boys, so is mine. TDLR, OSHA, better business buraue, labor board, texas work force commission, probably missing a few. A already sending out the feelers, work will be easy to find, this day I will take off, other than phone calls.

Good morning, everyone. Well, the dread day has come: the last day of school for the kids. :ohmy:

Welcome home, @jpf880!

I'm glad to hear that things are beginning to look up, @ThaFuzz!

@tiggerrts, while I agree with everyone else that better things are to come (especially, from what I gather, with your skill set, work will find you), it is always hard when one is fired. It can be an emotional blow. What you need to do is remember that you did good work: that is really all that can be asked of you. Other people in this world can be abusive, lie, cheat, steal--and sometimes things don't go your way (and that really sucks!). But if you can stand by the work that you did, then you performed your job. (Of course, if you look back on the work you did and realize that you could actually have done a better job--well, then the dismissal from work should be a learning experience, but I don't think that is the case here.)

Good morning Treefam. It looks like an interesting day.

@ThaFuzz Glad it's looking up at least a little. Small steps are better than no steps
@tiggerrts positive thoughts and energy.

I'm lazy right now. Work this afternoon so it's all good. Need a coffee delivery service, LOL

Catch y'all later.

Ditto x3 and may the force be with you! ;)

@KatzWh1skers - I hope you feel better soon! :)

It never really cooled down last night, but I was able to get a full night's sleep. It involved booting my cat, who I'm pretty sure has dementia. :?:

Tonight, I have a meeting that will run late, so I'm going to the office this afternoon.

Have a terrific day, everyone!

1. @tiggerrts sorry about the job situation, but I see better things on the horizon for you and actually think it was probably the best thing. You'll do much better somewhere else, where your safety won't be a concern and not having to work for such a jerk! Sending good vibes for you darlin'.

@ThaFuzz glad to hear things are starting to look up for you...hang in there, it'll continue to get better with time.

@jpf880 glad you had a good visit with your family and happy you made it home safe.

Looks like a busy day ahead today, so probably won't be back on until later, so good vibes to all those who need them.

Different topic...

I know @glassmanoak has had some health issues recently. Does anybody know how backlogged things are there? Been a while since I submitted my info (3-4 weeks, I think?) and haven't received a reply. Am I being too impatient? I don't want to appear rude or unconcerned with the recovery...just wondering what the turnaround time is.

I can't speak to the actual backlog.... but we are maintaining a list of winners--and GMO has access to it--so Blue, Uncle, and I can make sure that no one gets missed.

I need to get washed up for my daughter's 5th Grade promotion ceremony. Catch you all later!

Good morning all. I hope all is well. After these last few rough weeks things are finally starting to look up. Not way up ,but from the bottom(its the bottom, I promise)any little up will do.
Good to see that things are headed in the right direction..........there's more energy headed your way........

Tiggs............I am sorry it went down that way.........but I am glad it happened.....those things you did were above & beyond the call for a long time now......so you are free from the "the MAJOR jerk" as GMO put it........
Things will pick up and you will have a way better job. IMO you are better than that and deserve more......
So is the bottom line you got fired for "the pizza box"?

@tiggerrts I'm so sorry about your job.. I'm sure you will have a better one in no time

@ThaFuzz glad things are looking up for you

Well my fiance has been the foreman on his job for a while now, one of the guys that worked for hims last day was Friday. Then Saturday one of the owners best friends needed a place to live and a job sooo the owner let him move in the apartment above the shop and gave him a job... My fiances job, he told don't worry he wont take a pay cut but his friend really needed a job and he could take the employee that just lefts job... Working under the "new" foreman... He wasn't upset or anything because he was thinking less work same amount of money.. Well it seems that was way off, the new foreman doesn't do anything, as a matter of fact David said he stopped at two different places yesterday in between jobs and left them in the truck for over an hour and then when they get to jobs, he doesn't do anything but play on his phone and apparently has been very very rude to David. Like yelled at him saying there not doing things his way anymore that he's the new foreman so its his way or the highway. And he said the foreman isnt going to be working now so everyone else needs to pick up the slack and he will tell them what to do. Amongst many other things that happened throughout the day.. David's worked there for 3 years and he's thinking about going to the owner and just telling him but he's also worried to do that considering it's one of the owners best friends :/ I told him he should go talk to the owner..because either you are going to be treated badly by the guy or you can take a chance talk to the boss man and maybe get it taken care of or maybe not, either way you could lose but one way could be either or. I don't know just venting guys sorry.. When I see him so stressed it stresses me.

Hope everyone is enjoying their day

Sorry for the added stress Mandi.........I think the whole world is mad about something..............it's funny (in a strange way) to think about why....could it have something to do with the sun? I think it's sick and they are not telling us about it........but that wouldn't be the first time.......

You should never employ friends or family - they are the ones most likely to goof-off, steal, and generally take advantage of you. @Mandikay , it may be awkward, but he definitely should (tactfully) discuss it with the boss...he may not realize how lousy/incompetent his friend is as a supervisor. Either way, I think the "friend" should have gotten the lesser position. Almost sounds like he knew that he wouldn't be a good worker.
