That certainly was a very important factor in such debate, though I would suggest 5,000 years (or maybe 10,000) would be more appropriate to the colonization/subjugation theme. Why is it that we humans always march into some other country and claim immediately that those people are inferior? Look at the Aztecs when the Spaniards, who had crude firearms, "conquered" them. The Aztecs had beautiful pyramids and houses of stone, astronomical observatories, etc., while the Europeans, with the exception of a few castles and manor houses, had mostly daub and wattle huts. But the Spaniards claimed god was on their side, so they killed as many Aztecs as they could and stole all their valuables. Of course, these Aztecs were not perfect either, because they pretty much did the same thing to the Toltecs, Olmecs, etc. So what will we do if Star Crock were to become a reality and we went to other planets in other solar systems? Conquer them because they hadn't developed warp drive yet? Enslave them because they are inferior? And if an alien race came here and did that to us, how indignant would we be that they did not recognize us as an intelligent species? Or would we fall on our faces and claim they must be gods? (We're probably beyond that myth by now, but sometimes I wonder.) OK, enough philosophy for awhile. Gotta get some work done...Several factors come into play here. The first is Imperialism. Over the past 500 years, as the European (and other) nations expanded their trade and settled colonies
There is so much in here that I wanted to say........but having a hard time typing today......but sometime in the near future I will give some of my opinions about all this.......That certainly was a very important factor is such debate, though I would suggest 5,000 years (or maybe 10,000) would be more appropriate to the colonization/subjugation theme. I know I have an inbox full of ad's.....funny that some are NOT vape stuff....LOL..........
That is my dilemma, too. My wife rolled her eyes when I bought the bag of organic cotton balls two years ago. She laughed when I bought cotton pads last year. I don't know what she'd do with the purchase of several lifetime's supply of rayon.Especially considering I just recently got a whole bag of cotton pads from Japan.
We did an office pool again. 80 quick picks! Fingers crossed for us all.7/1 #5
I got my megaball tickets........ready to win big.............

Julius 1 - 2: How about this, as we are driving home from work and I see the wreckage and big trucks and stuff I think "Proud to be Texan the best state." Then I think of JPF and how he and any other in Ohio will go "Proud to be from Ohio the best state." It is in our mentality to think big and that we are the best there has ever been. Right at some point in most peoples lives they think they are all that and a bag of chips. For the "God is on our side." we still see that to this day. God is on their side so disrupt this meeting, or burn down that building, shoot this person or that. Because there are many out there and many religions. The fight for supremacy will likely never end. Even if there was some type of apocalyptic event, those who survived would eventually have someone who stepped up and said we need to do it this way to survive. The cycle started over, if I can live in this house under these circumstances, who are you to tell me I am doing it wrong? Opinions abound, and each is strong in each person. Strong being a key word. I wonder what part of the (We're probably beyond that myth by now.) you are speaking of. No not God's, but I have seen and you say you have seen U.F.O.'s My two cents to the conversation at this point. That certainly was a very important factor is such debate, though I would suggest 5,000 years (or maybe 10,000) would be more appropriate to the colonization/subjugation theme. @philbh how old are your kids?? My girls, 12 and 16, fight constantly! It's never ending :/ but I have a stepdaughter, also 16, and two step sons, 10 and 11, who really don't fight that much, well the boys do every now and then, but they never fight with their sister or my girls... I am starting to wonder if it's just that I happened to have 2 girls and that's why they fight so much :/ I know me and my sister used to fight constantly but now she's my best friend.. Hopefully the same thing will happen with my girls![]()
