Weather has been good - had some rainy days. The 90 degrees and 85 - 90% humidity feels good.
Still phoon season here. There have been a fair number this year but only one big one came close ( a few days before I got here) and it didn't cause any problems. One just went thru the Philippines and another headed that way.

Yesterday was a lazy day - will probably go out for a couple things today.

Made it to the range! It was farther away then the ones I normally go to but it was outdoors so much more enjoyable!

My sister brought me a AR15 from Texas to use, left it here till I can afford to pay for it. What a nice sister! Today was the first time I took it out and had a hard time hitting a paper target at 50ft but was hitting a steel target at 100 yard with good consistency. I was having so much fun I didn't even shoot my pistol!

Some good games today. I've only been keeping half an eye on them as I do other things, but I might retire early to watch the Houston-Indy game... if I can fend off the complaints from my kids.

Maybe North Lawrence would be around you. I don't know much about the club but have heard it's decent anyway.

KC's pistol and rifle club in North Lawrence is where I went today. It's @ 35min drive. It was the first outdoor range I've been to. Very nice and the guy running it was very friendly.

Went wandering around some of the little secluded beaches today - the Midwest summer weather wasn't good enough for me to wear shorts very often - legs got a little burnt.

Sorry no pictures sooner, had a really really busy weekend.. I took these the first night she was here and she was still pretty scared of coming by us, but yest she seemed to have settled in, she's talking up a storm now, and I had her out of the cage and she just flew over and landed on my shoulder and stayed there for about an hour until we had to pick her up to go to the grocery store. So I'm going to get some more pics today...oh and she loves drinking out of a kids medicine cup... It's super cute lol

10/17 - 1: Good morning all, getting ready to roll.
So I said good night last night and started to shut it down, and I still had the TV on, for the first time the crowd is cheering, whatever. A little later more cheering, okay what? I walk in to see the re-play of the tight end going in for a touchdown, game tied going into OT. Stopped Indy, and a big throw down field, game winning field goal. Awoke a few times, not going to get into the dreams, ugh.
But refused to get up and I think I slept the majority of the time.

Good looking birdy there.
