How many of you see actual threading where the chimney flue meets with the top cap? Not just the o-ring that's supposed to be be completely enveloped by the joint there, but the threading for the chimney tube...

Does anyone else have a chimney that seems like it doesn't fit? It's like the center section isn't long enough... It's not leaking or anything but it kinda looks unattractive with all the chimney parts not screwing flush with each other.

FWIW, mine is the same way regarding the chimney, can see the black o-ring, and maybe a thread depending on how tight I get it.

At least I'm not the only one, even if I asked that same question days ago

Thanks. I read on Steam Engine that it's sweet spot is around .35 I think it was. My usual build is .25 but I'll most likely end up rebuilding it to the sweet spot for the Sigelei.

I'd read of a redditor who used their Goliath at .27. Can it handle that? What's the max wattage that you would put through the Goliath? And does it have a limit?

Sorry about all the answer and thanks in advance.

I'm running mine on Nichrome at .16 on my SX Mini M Class. At 30 watts it's a smooth warm vape.

That has step down, and you're only running it at 30w.

I think when most people ask if a RTA can handle *insert subohm resistance here* for a RTA they are asking about using it with a mech.

At least that is the only reason I can think why they would ask. Otherwise just turn your wattage down / build a higher resistance coil.

I have, used 28g ni200 2.4mm ID 11 wraps.

I got a build working finally. 30G 10 wraps and I set them up diagonally. Came in at .086 ohms. This makes for a nice warm vape [emoji3]

I asked about the resistance and the wattage just to see it's capabilities. I just started using my sigelei 150 today and I'm using it at 70 watts, so I'd like something that would be able to handle at least up to 100 watts without any issues. At least to around 80 would be nice. In a mech I run around .23-.25, so I'm just trying to figure out what would work best. Since my mech is a hybrid I would probably only use it on the Sigelei. This one stood out the most but that Cthulu looks nice.

Gotcha, yeah, for high wattage the cthulhu RTA is probably a better option IMO. Larger deck for larger coils and larger wicks. More airflow presumably. Larger airflow on the deck at least.

This past weekend I put a 26g kanthal build in my goliath, 2mm ID, 8 wraps iirc, and I think it'd be hard pressed to keep up at 50w. I've been using it around 35-40w.

I will try fitting some larger ID 24g coils in this just for fun, and throw 50w+ at it to see how it goes.

Has anyone had leaking from the bottom of the 510 base? I can't figure out where the leak is coming from, I've play with the juice control to adjust but am still having this issue. I thought it was condensation but I doubt itView attachment 454160

I get that from my Goblin when the wicks are too close to the airflow holes. If I wash it and dry it and do a fresh build with new wick, it clears right up.

Don't you know its leaking from the fill screw on your goblin. /sarcasm

For me, it leaks from the residual in the base if left on its side, even after I close off the juice control. And then if there's the slightest gap between the base and the mod you have it on, it'll leak out of the air holes and down the base and collect underneath. That's been my experience with it anyways, so I've learned to adjust the air flow before screwing it snug onto my box. YMMV

I've had the base start to unscrew from turning the juice control on mine, that could be a big leak problem if turned far enough.
