Does anyone have any solutions to the liquid feed controller getting stuck? Its a tight twist to open or close which is not good for me. If i take the inner oring out its a loose turn but not sure if it will leak. Have done a thorough clean to it using hot water and soap to clean any oil left inside but still. Any ideas?

Lube it with juice before assembling it.

Man I'm on the fence with this one. I just won't buy an RTA if there aren't supporting replacement parts, but the other reason would be the build deck. I just prefer single coil builds. I'll probably get one once the V2 comes out, but it won't see the kind of use my KF4s do.

If the Goliath had a deck for single coils, it would by my idea of the perfect RTA and knock my kayfun 4 right out of rotation.

This. I removed that same o-ring filled it, leaked everywhere. You can purchase Noalox and put the slightest of dabs on there and it'll work wonders.

UD just released a teaser of the v2 coming soon on their FB page. I would wait

Picked one up last night from the local B&M. My normal go to for office/out and about is an ego One, and it had decided to stop having the head thread on to the battery properly after the abuse I've given it, so had to make a bit of an emergency plan. This is my first RTA, so nothing to compare it to as far as tanks go. The build deck was definitely smaller than I'm used to, I also use a Vulcan and a Plume Veil for drippers. Once I'd some what figured out what it needed, I was able to get a .3 ohm build with 26 Guage kanthal to fit.

No issues with dry hits, only leak I had was right after I filled it and had the juice control wide open instead of closed :) Topped it up this morning and took it to the office with me (no vaping at the desk). Great flavor, awesome clouds, so much juice being used, even at a low wattage setting. I'll try another build on it tonight, to get a little higher resistance, and I'll be playing around with the juice flow to see how closed off I can have it and still get good hits, to try and cut down on liquid usage. Fun so far, though

Got my Goliath 4 days ago. So far I really dig the flavor, best I've had so far. Definitely beats our the two sub tanks I have (iSub & Starre) and both of my drippers on my REO.

I don't like:

How hard it is to catch the threads after refilling (which is about 4-5 times a day).
First couple hits after refilling can get dry, doesn't seem to wick right until about 4-5 hits in to a tank.
Wish the air flow control had detents to prevent accidental adjustment.
HUGE juice hog!

What I do like:

The flavor...OMG!
For me, it's fairly easy to build on.
Great air flow when wide open.
Adjustable center pin.
I guess I like the juice flow control even though mine is wide open all the time.
Looks great!

I started with a .4ohm, 26awg, organic cotton dual coil build with the coils fairly close to the deck, worked good but I'm getting even better flavor (and slightly less vapor) with the coils further from the deck.

You can always prime it before you fire it again after you refill. That's what I do and I haven't had a problem. I run max MG as well too.

Threading after refilling is a nightmare. Sometimes the wick will catch on the edges and it'll make it that much more difficult. This is my first RTA though so it's been a learning experience.

So...after over a month Gearbeast still hasn't shipped my pre-ordered Goliath. :-x But my reseller buddy somehow got extras sent to him, so he fronted me one of his.

After cleaning it out - twice! - there still seems to be machine oil in there. It tastes nasty and I can even smell it. I boiled the whole thing, wicks and coils and all, still contaminated. I accidentally used one of the wicks in my Buddha and now that is contaminated as well. :censored: So it's back to the Plume Veil full time until I can get these things cleaned.

Put some dual 28g nickel coils in my Goliath last night, 10 wrap 2.5mm id for 0.078ohm on my ipv4 and it's vaping like a dream with 90% VG juice! Easily going through 1ml/hr with the juice control wide open, but the clouds and flavor are worth having to refill once in a while.

I've never had a single leak from the Goliath, and now I was pleasantly surprised to find it works well with dual nickel coils as well. The build deck is a little small, but if you're comfortable building you can fit some decent sized coils in.

Two thumbs up for the Goliath, wish they made it in black!

Since the 28g nickel worked so well I tried dual twisted 32g nickel / 34g kanthal 6 wraps 2.5mm ID registering at 0.107ohm. Vaping at 420°F and 40J on my ipv4 and it's putting out great clouds and flavor. Also, this build was much easier to fit than the 10 wrap 28g, and is less likely to get damaged when refilling. Going through about 8ml a day just on this tank, but incredibly happy with the vape!

Just got my SX Mini today and am eager to try a nickel build. I noticed last night that I happen to have some nickel wire (used to use it as no resistance wire in my Ody builds way back in the day). However, it's 30awg. How many wraps would you guess would get me an acceptable resistance (dual coil in the Goliath, of course)?

I'm guessing it would have to be more than 10 wraps and that may be too wide for the Goliath. :(
