The fat wick clearomizers do wick better but at 5 watts when half full they start having trouble keeping up. I have been replacing my old CE2 r4's when the clearomizers crack and they are definately better. The fat wicks seem to do even better in the metal tubes but I have only vaped one of them for more than a day or about 2 ml of liquid.

Thanks Traver. The C-E2 R4's I have do not work as well as my old R3's, so hopefully the fat wick will be at least on a par with them. The main thing I want is for them to be capable of vaping the tank dry while in a vertical position. I vape at a low wattage, so don't expect them to do that at 5 watts.

I'm not sure if they will vape the carto dry. On an Ego with a 2.6 ohm clearomizer they seem to come close but I may be tipping them out of habit.

Surely, someone can tell me by now. Does the new fat wick actually wick better than the original type? If so, I will buy some new XL's and try their wicks in my mods.

Mine absolutely do wick better - I've vaped down to the bottom with no issues and no mods. 75 pg/25 vg clear DIY menthol juice. 3.7 elegant batt.

Thanks. It's sounding like I need to order some, then. I've been putting it off, waiting for the Giantomizer and Vortex to get here so I could make one order do it. That might not never happen, heheh.

Yeah, I like 'em. Clearo tube problems not completely fixed of course but I think they will have to actually change plastics to get that right. I'm gonna vape this one I'm on right now dry 1 more time today to confirm for you, as I get to refilling them out of habit before they are empty, but I know I did it once when I wasn't paying attention.

I don't use the silly clear tubes, so that is not an issue. I'll check back here after my nap and see what you come up with. Thanks again.

Hey BR !
I'm on my second fat wick carto & it wicks great !
....somehow last night I broke one side away from coil while cleaning
So I only have 1 wick piece hanging down....but it is still wicking fine
I'm using a riva/510 & 80% VG juice

has anything worked as good as the fat wicked coils on your riva? imhaving a tough timefinding somethingthat works good

Just vaped it dry again br - NO wicking issues and i usually dont tilt up at all when i vape, maybe a 45 degree angle or closer to vertical even.

That's the way I usually vape, so that tells me a lot. Thanks for taking the time to let me know. I believe it will be a lot easier to use this type of coil and wick to build my mods.

Thi is a very good point I should have mentioned, thanks mj...I have noticed this wicks without much of a tilt at all needed...there is a wet wick feel all the way through but out of habit when I get to last fifth of the fill I usually tilt some...
