question, is there anyway to prevent the gpin from getting coated with ejuice and causing build-up/resistance? It seems like the delrin loosens each time the battery is replaced and ultimately causes it to miss-fire - cleaning each battery change is almost required with mine.

The GPin has to be opened once per week or every 10 days, depending on the usage, to be cleaned from the remnants of liquid, but during assembling you need to remember 2 things: the plastic insulator has to be tightened slightly with the help of the fork and then, the cap of the GPin must tightened too by hand in order to grab ( actually to press) the plastic insulator a bit. It won't come loose again.

Hmmm. Honestly have had no juice issues with genesis and/or silica atomizers with leaking. All my Pins look as new.

I've had GPin soakage before. Sophia can be a leaky little b*tch sometimes, releasing her juices all over my GPin... wow, that went wrong in a hurry!! :D

My Sophia is the reason too but it doesn't happen often but when it does leak it's almost guaranteed that juice went into the gpin. I actually didn't realize it until recently when I took the gpin apart and noticed GVC caked inside. I got most of it off but the inside is still a brownish color. My order of nevr-dull should be in this Friday to get the rest of it off.

Just a thought, do you have ring that goes around the posts (i.e., the part with double orings that the top attaches to) screwed all the way on? I found that part a little difficult to screw all the way on. There is an oring that will tighten it up when you get close to fully screwed on.

When i put my heron together with the new bell, i can't get the tank to sit flush on the coil section.... whats going on here?

You probably mounted the bell on the wrong side of the tank - the tank is not reversible - only one side is good for the bell and the other side is good for the deck.

Yeah mine is tough sometimes to tighten up but i mean the tank only goes past the first oring on that piece... I've pressed extremely hard and nothing.. I'm not even using the cotton top piece either

solved it... apparently theres a top and bottom of the tank lol....

I'm sure this happened to a lot of people. It sure happened to me the very first time. I just took it all apart as soon as I received it to clean it and didn't pay attention to that minor detail. :p

Reminds me of this Aggie joke...two Aggies are doing some home repair. One notices that the other is trying to hammer a nail into the wall. But the head of the nail is against the wall, and he's pounding on the point.

"You idiot! Pay attention to what your doing! That nail goes in the opposite wall!"

*with apologies to Aggies, bless their hearts.

LOL... People who go to agricultural universities. Like Texas A&M. The M is for mechanical.

Ag is a huge industry here obviously, There is quite a technical/scientific side of Agriculture from strains of wheat, hops, beets, beans, cows, corn etc.. to the crop production itself :).
You city folk just go to your local Wal-Mart farms ;).

Farmers Markets are getting really popular to us city folks. The closest we can get to really fresh produce and farm stuff. :p

Hi Guys, been lurking here for months trying all the different methods posted so would love to thank you all for the help.
i have been struggling to find a set up that works for me.
i have tried cotton and micro coil and it either overwicks and floods or underwicks and gives me burnt hits normally because theres too much cotton in the hole.
i have tried chadsmo's methods and also various silica wick methods but they always end up giving burnt hits unless i re wick every few days. i think this is mainly due to me using 100%vg liquids.
ive tried silica wick with 2 loops, 1 loop, two tails through the topper etc ribbon wire, 0.15 mm kanthal, 0.23mm kanthal and they always end up tasting burnt.
aswell as this i find that the flavour was a little muted compared to the genny's i was used to.

well i have found a great set up using mesh and it wicks really well gives no burnt taste and for cleaning its the good old wash, burn off and brush and good as new like a genny.

its a little fiddly to get the right bends in the mesh but hopefully you will get the idea from the photos below

so this is my first post with photos hoping they have appeared.

to get the S - shape i used a paperclip bent into shape. i used the S-Shape so as to collect any juice from the base of the well and the top section to go through the topper

above you can see it with the topper on. i used the topper to give the mesh the right angle to make contact with the fluff

on my second refill now and no leaks. it wicks like a beauty giving no dry hits and doesnt flood (probably because i have used the topper)

so i used a section of mesh 30x30mm with 4 coils of .4mm kanthal ribbon at 1.3ohm and the flavour in my juices are so much more pronounced although the throat hit is more intense so i dropped nic strength down to 11mg

hopefully below there will be another couple of photos showing my paps 2.5 with heron in all its wondrous beauty

PERSEUS you are master of art for what you have brought to us. until the heron i always used my paps with genny's and as much as i loved them there no getting away from leaks when carried in my pocket. i flirted with the spheroid but it played havoc with my OCD.
so thank you for your amazing devices and also for the costomer service you provide the issue with the bell is no big issue really. so if you want to save some money dont send me a revised bell as i have drilled mine out to 3mm anyway. mine is number 098

i would also like to thank chadsmo and all the other for the helpful posts you have taken the time to write it is greatly appreciated

So I woke up to a bit of a surprise this morning. I spent a while last night tearing a couple mods and attys apart and cleaning them top to bottom and re wicking them etc.

My X1.5 and R91 were one of the pairs I did. Well this morning I woke up to my X sitting in the middle of a small puddle of juice. What made matters even worse is some how enough of it got between the battery and the negative contact and fired the mod until the battery died. The whole thing is really unfortunate too because now I have to throw the battery away. What is fortunate though is because it was just filled up there was a lot of juice left in it the whole time it was firing and nothing got burnt or anything. I guess from now on I'll be taking batteries out of mods when I go to sleep , at least with attys that have a chance to leak.
