:-x I missed the spheroid :( will there be another run any time soon?
It's best to keep up with the notices here, the GP tips thread our on VapourArt's website.
The American reseller Domovaporco.com will potentially be restocking soon. Visit Blake's site he would love to have you as a customer.

Hey hey! Honestly, most of us have used every high end on the market. GP stands alone in all aspects of Vaping. Such a good group here led by one of the most intelligent builders that will help anyone that asks . The customer service kicks ... and he builds a hell of a Greek salad sandwich in a pita.
You should pick a few pages to randomly read and look at the GP tips thread and get a feeling for this family of misfit GP lovers.
I'm glad you showed up.

evgeny, I'm a Vape Snob. While I would never criticize anyone for using affordable products - if it keeps you off the analogs, it is worth all the money in the world - but I prefer shiny, well manufactured products.

Call me an aesthete.

I like the buttery smooth feel of the threads as you take apart and reassemble the Lux. I like how the locking mechanism takes almost no force to lock, stays put, and takes almost no force to unlock. I like how it looks after I've polished it with some Cape Cod. I like the look that much-too-young-for-me woman just gave me as I slid my Lux+Tripolitis/Diver+90mm DT out of my pocket* and created a fog cloud that triggered a response from the FDNY. I like how, after not having used my Lux for a day or so, when I reach for her, I get the same "Wow, pretty!" sense I got when I first received her from the GP boys.

* I'm leaving this here as oh-so-obvious Idaho Bait.

Who wore the dress?....Oh I kill myself.

That is my way of welcoming you AK. Hang out a while it's a great place. :)

I certainly feel welcome now... I've been reading this thread for a while and stalking the Spheroid, living vicariously through the photos everyone posts of their set ups. So today I pulled the trigger on not only the Spheroid, but a SS PAPS as well.

At this rate, I may break even sometime in 2015...

Spheroid with "Microcoil and Cotton" = Amazing Vape. HAPPINESS

Awesome flavor, TH and Vapor! Something if you haven't tried yet ~ you are missing something in your vape life :)

What was needed?

XTar IMR18350, 850mAh Batteries, the usual 70:30 PG/VG juice and a diehard Mod to fire it up ~ my Paps-LUX :)

A 0.7Ω Microcoil. My multimeter readings (a)'0' tested (.8 reading) and (b)resistance read of the coil (1.5Ω).

A big shout-out to our sweet friend Xtreme here for gifting us this nice wicking material... this S-n-C cotton yarn is a boon to the microcoil lovers!

And now ~ THE HOW TO:

Apropos the instruction for a 20 minutes boil, I did it twice. 10-15 minutes each. First round with some salt (pic-1) ~ assists in the cleansing process, washed it up and reboiled (pic-2) with normal water.

While the wick got it's treatment ~ deep cleaned the Spheroid's base and prepared the microcoil. 28G Kanthal over a toothpick.

Unwrapped some of the coil before mounting (used just 5 wraps) to get the sub-Ohm I desired.

Used some of the Kanthal to pull-thru the wick across the microcoil. Left a 1.5 cms tail end either side.

Trimmed the wick and juiced it up.

Wick and Coil Fired-up...

Producing some thick vapor indeed.

Assembled it up, relaxed on my couch and got ready to VAPE...

Love at first puff...

Subsequently, got fogged

Bottomline:
This thing is mind blowing. It's around 24 hrs. now that I'm solely using it... gone thru a few tank fulls. Some impressive wicking indeed... just doesn't stop... juice feeding at it's best. The flavor is full, TH as per the norm of a Spheroid and the vapor quantity is very Pinoy like (you have seen it above)! The amazing part is ~ this is with a standard juice! And the setup was in 18350. Beat that! I've used it over the 'X' as well today, in 18650 with a 30Amps Sony and it kept promisingly well. My final word: Mesmerizing! Thank you Team-GP for Reigniting the Passion!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CAUTION:
It's not your ability to make sub-Ohm coils ~ what matters most is what batteries you use to run it. For sub-Ohms you must have 10Amps or higher discharge rate, else it could be disastrous. Higher the better ~ eg. the 30Amps Sony linked above.

DISCLAIMER:
It is recommended to use a coil having resistance of 1Ω and above. Sub-Ohm resistances are not recommended for any user of any device. Because, not every battery currently in the market can safely sustain / handle such loads. Even an experienced user cannot always be certain / confident of the Amp limit of his batteries.

A kindergartner could build that if they had your tutorial in front of them! (Not to say I'd condone that...)

I'm building tonight, and I haven't tried the Lily's yet, so I think I will get on that. Thanks for the nudge :)
