Can someone tell me the length of the 18600 paps tube without the top and bottom caps on please. Thanks in advance.

The 18650 tube is 90mm and used with a 18650 or a 18500 aw imr battery with a kick

The 18800 "kick"tube is 105mm - this tube allows the use of a 18650 aw imr battery and a kick module.

Thanks for the info. I purchased an SSv2.5 and the gold plated terminals on Friday. Can't wait. Actually it was your picture of the SS with the kayfun lite on the blue jeans that sold me.

Do you work for Vaporart? If not, maybe Perseus should be sending you a small commission?! ;-)

PS great photos

I'm 57 and at my age there's not much that can make me lustful. Jennifer Anniston... meh, Julia Roberts... yawn, Qorax photo of a PAPS v2.5 SS... humana humana schwing!!!

very well said, and why I chose another Lux over the SS... it was one of those "nice to have such tough choices" things.
I just replied this at VW...

That said, for a usual vaper, you wouldn't find any difference between the v2.5 SS and the Lux! Both would fire similarly for most Attys atop. Both would give you the same vape quality against most of the RBAs/tanks you have. The difference is unnoticeable!

However, the difference, though not much, yet could be understandable and felt when you are either (1)a "senior/serious vaper" or (2)using sub-ohm coils (anything under 1.1 Ω). B'coz, the GP Lux gives conductivity a very new meaning! Combining a smart/Pioneering body tube (Alu-Bronze) with those 24K Gold over Silver Plated contacts, the Lux has a near "0" Voltage Drop!

If you had read my review of the GP Lux you'd know that without load I had a mere 0.1-0.2V drop. And under load, with a 0.9-1.1 Ω RBA, the voltage drop was again peanuts, just 0.2-0.3V. And these I was testing with only 18350 bats, freshly charged, which were typically doling out around 4.17Vs.

Yes, that good the GP Lux is.
However, with a meagre 0.3V drop (without load), the Paps v2.5 SS is just as good!

I've been curious if there's a noticeable weight difference between the SS PAPS and the Alu-Bronze LUX. I'm guessing it's not much but wanted to ask.

Edit: I forgot this is the 21st century and things like specific gravity of metals are easily accessible:)
Looks like the weight would be almost identical between the two.

You shouldn't get any voltage drop at all, on any mech, when it's unloaded. It should read exactly the same as reading the battery on it own. Yes the multi meter does close the circuit but it has an internal resistance measured in mega-ohms, making the resistance of the PV itself negligible to nonexistent.

Thank u Perseas :)

BTW, is the Classic Piccolo's button Magnetic?

No, it uses spring.

Can someone tell me the length of the 18600 paps tube without the top and bottom caps on please. Thanks in advance.

When we made the GP PAPS v1, the only 18650 IMR batteries in the market were the AW IMR 18650. Then, the kick appeared with 15 mm length, the EFEST IMR came and after that we observed batches of the kick coming out with varying sizes from 15 mm to 19 mm. These new factors created a challenge which solved with the GP telescopic post v2.5 and the length of the 18650 v2.5 tube became 81 mm. The 18650 tube v1, v2, v2.1 (first batches) has a length of 80 mm.

BOOM. Great post.

Domo still has LUX stock and the host is now accepting cc.

"*Credit Card processing is Monday thru Friday from 9AM to 6PM PST*"

I ordered one with my CC last night, my order went through and I got confirmation. My order status says "on hold" so, even though he is only processing the transactions M-F it had no impact on my ability to order one. Just FYI
