...And have you thought more about drip tip release date?...
Me too, waiting for it. And if there could be a few variants - it'd be nice

very well said, and why I chose another Lux over the SS... it was one of those "nice to have such tough choices" things.
Quorax wrote : Both, the Paps v2.5 SS and the GP Lux, are my favourite mods. Typically I'm a GP guy - b'coz they are so reliable, built well, looks gr8, are the smallest 18350 devices in the market as of now AND soberly priced.
That said, for a usual vaper, you wouldn't find any difference between the v2.5 SS and the Lux! Both would fire similarly for most Attys atop. Both would give you the same vape quality against most of the RBAs/tanks you have. The difference is unnoticeable!
However, the difference, though not much, yet could be understandable and felt when you are either (1)a "senior/serious vaper" or (2)using sub-ohm coils (anything under 1.1 Ω). B'coz, the GP Lux gives conductivity a very new meaning! Combining a smart/Pioneering body tube (Alu-Bronze) with those 24K Gold over Silver Plated contacts, the Lux has a near "0" Voltage Drop!
If you had read my review of the GP Lux you'd know that without load I had a mere 0.1-0.2V drop. And under load, with a 0.9-1.1 Ω rba, the voltage drop was again peanuts, just 0.2-0.3V. And these I was testing with only 18350 bats, freshly charged, which were typically doling out around 4.17Vs.
Yes, that good the GP Lux is.
However, with a meagre 0.3V drop (without load), the Paps v2.5 SS is just as good!
Are you saying that the GP SS doesn't have the same materials in the switches and contacts as the Lux?

qorax said:The standard GP Paps Mod (extra Switches/Caps included) has Brass Contacts internally. It's "only" for the GP Lux that they have gone overboard and "plated" it's contacts with Silver first, and then again 24K Gold! Thus remember, those Silver over Gold plating aren't the norm... it's an exception made for a Deluxe version (the Lux).subhuman said:Hello. I just purchased a SS 2.5 paps yesterday before I noticed that the product copy states it has brass contacts as opposed to the lux' gold over silver over brass. I've noticed discrepancies in a couple of other product descriptions and was wondering if this is accurate.
Please forgive me if this has already been covered -- I've looked elsewhere and was unable to find it discussed.
Thanks in advance!
That said, those Silver over Gold contact Kits are yet available independently at the site for additional purchase, if one desires to "convert" his/her usual v2.5 Switch & Top Cap into a Lux version!
do you still have to use flat top '350 batteries in the lux to flush mount your tank? TIA
I use "nipple top" batteries (Efest IMRs) on my Lux, as well as the v2.5 SS... and everything sits 'flush' over it.
Yes and No.
I thought u guys knew the difference already. Ok, here's one more of my responses on the Wall...
Man I didn't know this.
In fact, I told someone that the SS had the same contacts as the Lux. Don't ask me why I assumed this and passed on my assumptions but both of us ordered an SS last sale. If we knew the difference we definitely would've both got the Lux.
I hope there isn't any noticeable difference or I'm gonna have a lot of 'splaining to do.
GP PAPS v2.5 Top Caps
Perseas, I was wondering if there was any size difference between these Top Caps?
I mean, if the "flat" version was any thinner than the "crossed" top cap... making the overall length of the Paps little shorter with it... something akin to, what they call, the Stealth Cap of the Nemesis.

Actually, I had it wrong myself. I had assumed that a "2.5 switch" is a "2.5 switch"... I wasn't until that I had made the comment that you could build a lux cheaper than buying a lux by simply buying the cap, switch & tube separately... It was either Qorax or Idaho that set me straight.
I apologize for giving out incorrect info. I promise it was not intentional.
