Heading back to silica wick in the Spheroid after I boil some up. The micro-cotton would not hold its form, and left me with burnt hits. Worked great for awhile, but it seems the wick became over-saturated and sagged. I kept having to unscrew the housing to check and make sure the wick was upright.

can you use silica with a micro coil setup? ...or does it just taste nasty?
I've gotta spheroid incoming, no idea how i wanna set it up lol.
I'm thinking my first setup would be a figure 8 of 2.5mm silica with a small piece of oxidized mesh wrapped in the center and 4-5 wraps of twisted 32 gauge kanthal & willl use the fluff i get in the package.
Debating micro coil and around 2 ohm (regular 28g) vs the twisted 32 going sub ohm, my i guess thinking advantage of micro coil i can use 18350 battery, but with sub ohm gotta use 18650 battery.

I have tried just about every setup there is to try on the Spheroid. The figure 8, the S, the Single loop, cotton, micro coils ect..
What I have found (and a lot of other users as well) is the the recommend / noob set up works the best!
2 strands of silica and a regular coil rock this little thing. If you don't want juicy fingers after a refill then the single loop with a regular ole coil rocks as well..

Mesh over Silica? Why? The Spheroid is awesome enough just with a usual 'figure-8' or the 'lasso' wick
