RHP, the red o ring that comes with the sophia won't fit, you must use the red o ring that comes with the SnP. (1.5 mm vs 1 mm). I wish I could have used the black o rings in the bottom, and the red in the top, but I just could not make it go in, and I have the marks on my palm to prove it. The double red rings in the bottom seem to hold fine, while the single in the top allows the juice control enough room to turn, and still seal.

I found that it was easier to disassemble both the SnP and the sophia. Screw just the bottom of the sophia in your PV. Then put the bottom of the SnP on it. It will be tight, but it will fit. Then you can build your coil & wick, install it in the ceramic, the in the base. You will want to add a few drops of juice to the wick before putting on the top of the sophia. I then inserted the top of the sophia into the top of the SnP (I also had the glass tube on mine). Put this combo on the base of the SnP, making sure that the caps have sealed well to the tank. At this point, the top tube of the sophia should be above the base of the sophia inside the tank. Screw the top tube of the sophia down to the base until you feel the slightest resistance. The juice control is now closed, and she's ready to fill.

Do not forget to close the juice control when refilling. This is the voice of experience.

Open the juice control just a little at a time until you have it wicking well.

Hope this helps. Sorry for no pics, I just rebuilt & refilled...I'll take a few next time.

It was the travel--I'm usually not on for such long stretches. It all started with staying up all night to catch the Spheroid :p

While Technonuts post and billie and ak all recommended to remove the top o-rings, I still had the dillusion of trying to squeeze it in there, even lubed up the orings amd put my slap yo mama tool on it. But it wouldn't go in, I still have the marks on my palm as proof. But that wasn't the worst. The most painful experience I had while trying to force Sophia in my 22' wad the frantic hysterical laughter coming from my better half because of the face I was making while miserably failing at inserting the lil bugger. So I decided to just toss in a brand new slottd carto, fill er up with BFC and re-visit Sophiagate later today or this weekend. I will look for my surgical O-ring tool kit (otherwise known as dental picks) and replace the top 2 O rings with the 1 that came with the Sophia, thanks again Ak and the gang

RhP

I am unsure how the 23 differs from the 22 besides the obvious, but I used ONE red o-ring in the top cap and the black o-rings in the bottom cap to secure the base of Sophia. I, also, inserted Sophia from the top after proper lubrication. :2cool:

After some much needed yard work, I will be building on the GT tonight.

In other news, my wife's spare Spheroid has been in the Vape House for a few weeks, which tells me she isn't using it. Time to make my move and take back what's rightfully mine!!

I will build the micro/cotton using the SnC I was gifted. Xtreme ;)

Q, glad to see you trying the micro in your Spheroid. It is an amazing vape.
Thinking the yarn will hold its form better than the "balls"(shh)

Yep, it is holding up well. Today is nearly 48 hrs. of non-stop vaping 'only' the Spheroid. It's yet going great guns

Chad, whatever you do -- stay away from Hemp. It's a gateway wick.

The Paps X is a whole different design from the Paps 2.5 and older versions. The Paps 2.5 is a 22mm mod that comes with an 18350 tube and there are 18500 and 18650 tubes that are sold separately. The Paps X is a 23mm mod that comes with all sectional tubes. The switch and top caps are also of a different design. The Paps 2.5 SS has brushed tubes and a polished top cap and switch with a brass button and the Paps X is currently mixed brushed and polished as well.

sigh...am still saving to shop and trying to decide...

what is the difference between the GP PAPS 18350 brushed finish v2.5 SS Edition and the X ?

I like the 18350/brushed finish

As it was mentioned above, X is a 23 mm mod (102 gr. weight in 18350 mode) and GP PAPS 18350 v2.5 is a 22 mm one (75 gr. weight).
Both have polished ends and brushed body. GP PAPS v2.5 has also bead blasted tubes in 18500, 18650 and 18800 size.
The GP PAPS X comes with all the needed eXtensions to be used with a Kick2 even with a 18650 battery, the GP PAPS v2.5 18350 not. It uses separate tubes, need to be bought separately.
The X has AFC and it has 60 mm length in 18350 mode, while the GP PAPS 18350 v2.5 hasn't and its length is 60 mm.
Their switches have a completely different sense. The v2.5 has a feather touch, the X is more solid, having 3 springs of varied hardness for every taste. Both switches's travel is less than 1 mm.
Both can stand upright and unlocked without firing issues.
The X has a milled logo and serial, the v2.5 has laser etched ones.
Silver plated contacts for the X, brass for the v2.5.

I am sure I forgot a few things, but I cannot recall them for the time being :)

Not sure about others, but I trade foreign exchange. In fact, I've even spent the last few weeks selling EUR like it was going out of style, to teach you Greeks a lesson about abandoning a perfectly good 3,000-year-old currency.

Bring back the drachma, live forever.

The extinction of drachma was a sheer act of treason my friend, a traditional habit of our race ...

I guess michaels sells it too. I assume I'm just looking for white or is there a specific kind they sell that's 'natural' or something like that. The stuff on Michaels website is all coloured.

qorax, now that I've finally and definitively solved The Leaky Diver Crisis, I will be trying out your microcoil setup on all my attys, starting with the Spheroid.

Funny bit of info: 28g Kanthal A-1 is 5-6 weeks shipping wait from Temco, and prices on identifiably genuine Temco 28g A-1 are shooting through the roof on Ebay as well.

Once again, you are fashion forward.

I found it Lily® Sugar

Apparently this yarn is actually made in Canada. So, I should think your local craft store should stock it. I would go with white, and boil it first.

BTW, I was in BC earlier this year on vacation - Victoria...loved it.
