So Lux owners , question for you. I think I'm going to let this tube patina and see how I like it. Do I just clean it with water and wipe it down to keep the dirt and grime and hand grease off of it and that's it? If so how often would you suggest doing that?

I just wipe mine with an old t shirt whenever I feel like it. I haven't cleaned my tube yet, just UCd the top, and the switch.
I know, I said I was going to lock myself away in a room until my stuff arrives but I was "wandering" and saw this ...

I uc ours in warm water occasionally and occasionally wipe the threads and tube with ferret milk. I meant to say mild alcohol
. It seems not to have an effect with patina. We use several Luxeseseses and have not polished any. They are amazing looking. They are a bright cheery patina and look ALIVE!

Well, well, well.....it's midnite here and have been at the hospital as my wife's son, my stepson is about to have their first child and we are about to be grandparents sometime during the night!! As we pull into our driveway, I happen to glance at the front door and notice a brown envelope laying in front the door (we actually enter the house through the garage) and guess what it is?!?
I have opened the package and laid the little bags to the side...my v3, my heron, my 650 tube, my spheroid v3 upgrades so I took this premature picture before I begin to play with this beautiful and my first GP mod!! What should I do first? A quick rinse in warm soapy water...all parts including the switch and caps,etc and let dry thoroughly? Or do I set up the heron and start vaping like a million bucks!! Please advise as I don't want to miss any steps or be too hasty!! I am so impressed and delighted to own such a fine work of art! I am sure I will have any questions as I begin to get it all setup in the morning but looking any pre use advise!!
Also, I really need a couple more of GP driptips, anyone know when they may be available?

My boss is a vaper which is great, he was using a natural with a protank when he started so I let him use a KFL for a while so then he wanted one and he bought a clone -_-
Now he wants a better mod and I let him use my X for a few days, he wanted it but I said no way. I'm gonna sell him my 2.5 because I don't use it much now that the v3 came in and made him a great deal ($120 for a lux 2.5 with both 350 and 500 tubes + a lux switch rebuild kit and an extra telescoping lux pin). I'm sure he'll love it, i let him use it today and he was texting me tonight that I was evil for doing that to him.
As much as I hate getting rid of my 2.5, I'd rather do that than see him buy another clone, plus the lux is a great mod for him to have!

Just sat down and put a new coil and wick in my Heron. Along with rinsing the fluff out and changing juice. Then I sat down for a nice fresh vape on the couch.
But I'm really used to my X where I can rest the mod by the bottom of the button on my finger when I'm not vaping it.
I had one drag, then I stretched out my arm over the couch arm with my V3 resting in the fire position on my finger. After about 10 seconds or so I looked over and saw vapour coming out and was like 'hmm what's going on there ?' Then I smelled the burnt cotton
The whole atty, fluff juice and all smells like burnt cotton now. Time to tear it all apart and scrub it and put all back together again

Someone on CV had asked if anyone could confirm or deny that a GP Paps v2.5 LUX tube would work with the v3 switch and top cap, so I was able to offer visual evidence:

Yaa, Chad.. nudged me to rebuild due to your post. I had a tight cotton wick, just not tasting right, burnt. 5 minutes to pop the tank, cut a smaller cotton wick & wow.. This Heron is so simple to maintain & set up. Great performance since its arrival 29 hours ago. I am almost done with 30ml GVC... I might need to slow down, but i can not put this v3 down!!
