I haven't seen a Pinoy mod from titanium with aluminium bronze accents. I don't think it exists.

Here is after a month of use:

So the switch portion, the ring right above the switch with the GP logo is NOT going to be titanium and come as shown in pic?

I believe that in his response to Cucco, Perseas confirmed that the switch housing will be aluminum bronze (that's the part with the GP logo, not to be confused with the button that I believe will be titanium).

Geeze, step away from the computer for a few hours and you get 8-10 pages behind...again. Catching up...

Don't have dogs anymore, not since the 70's when I ran GSP's and the ex had a champion Peke. But I still have had parrots that I've raised from the nest since I was in my early teens.

Bandit just turned 8YO 4 days ago, a Myer's Parrot from South Central Africa. He sings and chirps like a song bird instead of the raucious squawk more common with the true parrots.

Binks was a Sun Conure from NE South America that went to live with the ex until he died. Beautiful, but with a very loud voice that could sahtter glass and crumble buildings.

Skipper is a White-eyed Conure from Northern South America that was seldom seen in aviculture when I got him. He's 30YO now - way old for this species. Always a lover he is still healthy, active and lives happily with my son.

Been lots more, in size up to a Military Macaw. But I don't have pics of them.

It will be available on the coming Vapourday 10th June, I'll post later the exact hour.

On Vapourday, we shall have also ready X converters and AFC rings made from aluminium bronze.

So much for sitting out on the next Vapor Day. :w00t:

I was talking about being "gaudy and garish".
Which unfortunately most mods from the Filipino armoury are, Imho!

Happy Fri evening fam!!

I would also like to say hello to all of the new faces that have popped up around these parts. I hope you guys are having a good time with all of the GP Brothers and Sisters. You guys are now also fam :D

This thread is moving at light speed, we are looking at a new thread soon lol.

I put a Zenith V2 on my Paps-X Lux and think it looks way better than those posted above. I am also not a fan of most of the Pinoy mods, but the Zenith V2 was an exception. I have the option to use it with brass accents or plain ole SS.

Perseas, I got the bag of parts for my GP Paps-X Lux and the extra insulators for the V3 switch. Thanks for helping me get that all settled!

King P is killing my bank account as of late LOL. It's like I would have to stay away from this thread and the website to try to ignore all the new releases you guys are banging out. The problem is that I love the sophisticated and clean style of GP products that I cannot stay away. :) Too many hobbies I guess lol.

I really don't need anymore mods, but I refuse to miss out on the stuff that team GP releases. I would rather have it now than regret losing a chance to own it.

A little quiet.. Story...

My Hubby and I lived in a cancer center for 1.5 years. There were various 'Spiritual Health' professionals who would stop in and visit with the patients in chemo. On one of those visits, I told one of them the story about my cat Joey....

One day, I felt a lump on Joey's leg. I mentioned it to Hubby. Hubby said he had seen Joey jump to the sink, and miss. Possibly, the lump was due to banging it on the sink. I kept my eye on the lump for a couple of days. It did not go away. Off to the vet we go. Unfortunately, the diagnosis was bone cancer. Since Joey was 19, and the bone cancer was advanced, and the cancer had probably spread, etc., etc., etc., there was nothing we could do. It was her recommendation, to keep him comfortable until it was 'time'. Horrible news. But, it is, what it is. They shaved his side, and put a pain patch on him. I bought some additional patches, and took him home. One morning, about a week later, I was getting ready for work. My Joey came to me and said: "Mom, take this leg off. Fix me.". O.K.. Well, if you didn't think I was nuts before, you probably do now. Believe me, he really did say that. I swear! I immediately called my vet. I told her that I wanted Joey's leg removed. She again explained, that he was too old for such a radical surgery, etc., etc., etc.. I told her I understood all of that, but my Joey told me he wanted it done. My vet knew me very well. She knew I was a bit nuts, but she had a great deal of respect for me. As an active 'rescue', I had literally taken thousands of critters to that hospital. And, so many times, she had witnessed me nurse back to health, critters she had lost hope for. Surgery was scheduled for the next day. I assumed Joey would be very fragile when I picked him up after surgery. I expected we would spend the next few days in bed together. When I picked him up, I was taken aback by how he looked. I had not thought about how extensive a surgery it is, to remove a cat's back leg. Basically, it is the whole hip/side. The surgical scar was so long! He looked horrible. I cried. I took him home, and laid him on the bed. Immediately, Joey jumps up, goes flying through the house, and bounced around to visit each and every one of the critter kids in our family. He was so happy! I could not believe my eyes. From that day forward, Joey had a new lease on life. He became a kitten again. He lived an additional three years. Three great and wonderful years! His end, was very swift and gentle.

The 'Spiritual Health' woman asked if she could use my story about Joey. Of course, I said "please do". To this day, that story is still being told in that cancer center. I have a friend, who still needs to go there for checkups and treatments. She loves when she hears the story about my Joey. It makes her think of Hubby and me. It makes her smile.
