Mine is 650 mode. By my chair. It's my GVC currently and went for a trip in convertible a few times. I have to nurse the GVC along so I don't drink it.

Tired, dragging and leaving 3 tracks... but I finally took the plunge and just did my first Heron build. Decided to try a micro/KGD build at around 1 ohm for the X SS in 18650. Used a 1/16" form (per what some others have writen), with 28 Kanthal ended up with a .9 ohm build. Close enough for guessing, I don't normally do 1/16" cotton builds. Left an appropriate wick tail for the deck, and left it long enough so when out of the cotton top I could cut to length. I cut the fluff about 3/4" X 2 3/8", seems to be pretty good - not too compact, not too loose. Didn't use a syringe, just dripped to saturate the fluff, let it sit to balance out then added a little more a couple of times until it wouldn't take anymore. So no idea how much it took. The juice I used is a pretty intense juice on it's own, so from what has been said here about the power of the Heron I may have picked the wrong one for the first go. I could barely do my normal long lung hits on the first few draws - the VTF was pretty intense - doable, but intense. I'm impressed. It did surprise me how warm the Heron got with 4-5 hits though. That was with the preloaded wick, so no dry hits, and there has been no gurgles. But I'll have to do some trial and error with it when I'm not so tired. It's not drawing anywhere near enough juice for my long lung hits. Shorter hits I can get away with and the VTF is great... longer go dry and no way enough juice to chain vape. The wick is suspect #1, first time I've used KGD but thought that wouldn't make any difference from my organic cotton balls I am used to. I don't normally do 1/16" coils, so may have not guessed the wick right. It didn't fill the cotton top hole, so I doubled it back to the hole and just barely tucked it into it loosely. That wasn't a fix. So I need to rewick it and I think try a longer tail, try different size strips of KGD to find what it wants.
Not sure if that all made sense... I am a bit slap happy, but also so tired that I can't sleep. Maybe I'll dig out a jug of apple pie, sounds good about now.
Have I said before that I love all my PAPS/Piccolo? I can already tell I am going to really love the Heron's too. When I get them both on line right the Speroid for the Piccolo is next.

My PapsX and Heron and adapters are sitting in OH, now. So i am guessing they will be here on Mon as predicted. Cant wait!

According to the dhl tracking my paps left Leipzig at 8:22 am central time (in the future) and arrived in Ohio at 7:57 am central time (in the past). That is simply amazing. I had no idea dhl had the ability to ship parcels through space and time breaking every law a physics known to man
First Heron build update. A while after the intital build I tried a cheat in my slap happy state of mind... took an extra 3/4" long piece of KGD same width as the wick and laid it on the fluff where the wick would touch it center, and the transfer of the liquid greatly improved immediately. So much so that I can do much longer lung hits, and within reason chain vape it. When I get some coffee in me... I'll rewick it, and try a little different build in the other Heron for S&G while learning them.
I am very impressed with the Heron even though I don't have it right.... yet. I don't know that I'll give them names like our buddy Bill has with his, but there will be more of them in my personal GP family. Sometime this weekend hopefully when the old eyes that don't see small anymore without fairly serious magnification are a bunch clearer than they are right now, I'll also take on the Spheriod. I can hardly wait to get it running on the Piccolo. Thanks again Team VapourArt, and to those who have shared their experience to use as a guide.

Well as some of you my or may not know, I was having an issue with one of my new Herons where the 2 Terminal screws were shorting out against the topper piece. At first I thought I built my coil too high, but I was able to confirm that it was indeed the 2 Terminal screws shorting out against the topper.
Well I emailed Blake @ Domo and told him about my situation. Without asking any questions, he immediately replied "Send it back, I will send you another one".......now that is awesome customer service! I figured he'd reply back and have a bunch of questions for me, like "Are you sure you're doing this/that properly?", but no......he just wants the suspect Heron back and will send me a replacement.....I am so happy to know that not only does Perseas provide superior customer service, but his resellers do too!!
So I will be sending Blake back the suspect Heron on Monday. Hopefully I'll have a replacement by the end of the week....

Me too, never. Mine's also in 18650 mode since the time it came to my hands. I think it looks and feels better in 650 ~ and in my opinion the X is only one such.
