Site is down for restocking...I'm so excited to get one of these. I wonder if they'd engrave it with a Greek flag and my nick name Greek.

The Vapour Art Store is offline for restocking purposes.

Edit - one question being that I'm new to mechs: I saw a review of a guy running it without a kick. Is that a common practice? I planned on ordering a kick but was just curious.

I think it's safe to say that the vast majority of people don't use a kick with their mech mods. Part of the beauty and simplicity of a mech mod is having nothing but a battery and a coil. For me personally there is no better way to vape. You learn to tune your coils exactly how you need to to get a great vape and you get a feeling for your battery and what it's capable off.

Can only speak for me but i find no need for it, I own one and never use it, i build my coil to my liking and have fresh batteries handy

Yeah that was funny. Can you elaborate more on what you mean by "it takes away"? Does it technically inhibit your ability to vape at those settings or are you just speaking as a mech purist? It looks to me like you're within its range.

The kick 2 only goes to 15 watts. He was saying that he likes to vape between 17 and 20, which isn't possible with a kick 2.

I'm currently vaping my X with an Origen on top at around 45 watts …

It does technically take away seeing as the kick only goes to 15 watts and i prefer the 17 - 21 range if that makes any sense

This is only my preference some would use the kick so as they get a constant wattage from there battery from fresh to drained thus not having to change out batteries as often

Oh gotcha gotcha - my mistake. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll try it both ways but will probably just do what you do and not use it, at least most of the time.

Well I just placed my order. Got my PapsX v1.5, a polished ring, and a kick v2. Now I've got to pick up some new batteries. I just caught a glimpse of these.

22 Amps Ultra High Drain 18650 Orbtronic SX22 battery li-ion cell

Has anyone tried them? I've been using Orbtronic (unprotected) 2900mah batteries for a long time and prefer them over the AW's, at least in my Provari's. Not sure how safe the ultra high drain would be though or what you guys like in your Paps (minus the kick lol).

Yay! GVC Ordered, and this smart guy remembered to have it shipped to my office so I can sign for ti :)

Besides, I deserved to treat myself considering our EPIC F*ing Win last night! :)

We took out the #1 seeded team 11-10 last week, and the #2 11-8 last night. It sure feels good...

For those of you waiting for the Heron and did not see, adding to the below post...I can not believe how long this tank is lasting me and the wicking seems to be improved over the Spheroid(my beloved atty). I am not sure if it is the air holes allowing better wicking or the physical make-up of the Heron. The Heron yesterday, became my favorite atomizer over the Spheroid.
We need to talk more about the Air Flow Controll! It just kicks ....
GP Fam, I would like to follow up on a couple of things with my build and the Heron.

First, I love the Heron. With the amount of fluff I am using I have no issues with filling it with 4-4.5ml of 50/50 juice. It seems to never run out!
On my last build I used the loops as seen. I decided to cut the loops a bit off center and leave one side of the 2 strands of ekowool a bit longer. I placed the shorter side into the juice well and threaded the longer through the hole on the top cap as shown.

NOTE - wrapping 2 seperate strands of medium together and placing two through the cap and two in the well mimics this method.

Perseas mentioned that the wick dimension through the cap hole makes a wicking difference, and he is correct! So far 2 SnC strands, 2-3mm silica and 2mm strands of ekowool wicks FANTASTIC!.

One last thing and I will include in blog that has had little attention is the AIR FLOW CONTROL!
What a great addition.the AFC ring is simple, moves freely but tight enough that it will not move unless moved. The polished ring finishes the base of the Heron off with tasteful beauty. It is amazing and will be loved by the masses of vapors that begged for it on the Spheroid. Although I am in the camp that likes a bit of a tighter draw as the Spheroid offers, I happily set the AFC on the Heron with two of the holes open leaving one closed.

The AFC needs to be talked about more!
I am still in love with the Heron and will be picking another up because as Perseas knows D. And she gets her way with GP and will soon be negotiating for mine :).

Sorry to post again ^ but needed mentioned here as well as the Heron thread. :)
