The eagle has landed and I have a few questions gang…

First of all…this V3 is absolutely gorgeous, pics don't even come close to doing it justice, and the switch is completely ridiculous…WOW.

This is my first GP device so bear with me, I'm good with tinkering and know this won't be a big deal, just making sure so I don't screw anything up.

The device came with 2 extra springs, one is clearly for the switch, I'd like to tighten up the switch throw…is the extra spring stiffer ?

The other question is the Gpin. I also got what looks to be a replacement pin…how is the Gpin disassembled ? and is the extra small spring that was provided for the Gpin ?

Thanks in advance for the help gang…love this thing.

Remove the gpin from insulator and unscrew the threaded end from the fattest section. The other pin is for out of tolerance battery lengths. I am 99% sure the extra spring is stiffer.

Thanks for the info…however, I'm having a tough time wrapping my head around the Gpin, would love to see an exploded of the bits if possible.

I'll add to what Landman linked to. Scott reviewed the V1 in that video , so he doesn't show you the Gpin that will be in the top cap of your 1.5.

Here's a picture of my X 1.5 broken down all the way.

The top cap is on the right hand side. The Gpin is at the bottom broken down. It consists of the four brass pieces and the spring , which screws in to the piece of delrin above it. You'll see this in your top cap. The GP fork you got with your X is to help you unscrew the delrin if you want to take that and clean it.

The Gpin will just unscrew from that piece with your fingers. It's pretty easy to take apart but you might need something like rubber bands to grip the two halves to unscrew them. Don't be scared to take it apart , it's meant to be taken apart and cleaned. I take my Gpin apart and thoroughly clean the oxidation off of it once a week.

Hope that helped a bit.

The throw very short and requires an extremely light touch…just a simple elegant design that just works well.

Stingray switch issues are due to a couple things I believe, one would be lack of maintenance and poor tolerances in some cases, I've seen first hand one of these problems, and Drew at JD Tech is virtually unwilling to help the owner.

Can you describe what you mean how ridiculously good the switch is? I know its better then the stingray as ive seen people have problems with the PB switch but atm mine is really nice and smooth.

There are only two mod makers I would ever buy a mech from , and that's GP and ByLeo. Both of them, especially the GP team, will do everything they can to make sure their customers are happy. I know there are probably many many great mods out there , and many great modders behind them but it doesn't change the fact that I have no desire to give them my money.

So you get that new insignia logo on the 650 and 350 tubes and the 500 tube is the same GP logo from the previous version for the V3. Are the 2.5 tubes compatible on the v3?

V3 tubes are all the same with the insignia on one side and GP on the other at the bottom. Yes, V2.5 tubes are compatible...I believe.

Outstanding, now I've got it…thank you. I didn't realize the threaded section unscrewed from its base…in hand it looks like 1 piece.

Extremely well thought out design, and a breeze to take apart.

With Perseas blessing, I was honored and delighted to receive and test the prototype version of the upcoming GP Spheroid V3 and am excited to share a few pictures and thoughts.
First of all, I tip my hat to Perseas for listening to the many GP Fans that loved the Spheroid but, wanted a bit more airflow to go along with it. Many including myself would rate the Spheroid as the top atomizer in our vaping world. Now, the rest that needed more air will make it theirs.

At first glance, you will notice there are two very adequate air holes on the exterior base. I will tell you that with the new edition of the air holes there is plenty of air circulating up through the chimney to keep lung hitters alike with a permanent smile.

Breaking the Spheroid down and comparatively inspecting it with the previous version, I noticed a few changes. One of them was the taller air chamber rise on the top of the base under the coil and wick. I see benefit in that any juice on the deck from over wicking or over filling will less likely drain into the base. I also suspect being closer to the coil will allow a better flavored vape(this seems impossible as it is awesome already).
I remember Perseas often instructing builders to keep their coil/wick 1mm-1.5mm from the center hole for a better experience.

When I received the V3 I immediately took it apart to inspect...I struggled with the top cap as it would not unscrew. Finally, after staring at it and willing it off it hit me. It is press fitted with an oring! I must say it is a PERFECT fit! I love it!

I find it is quite easy to push it off from the bottom bell. The o-ring size is perfect and the tolerance fit could not be better. Most of us Spheroid lovers know that on the previous version the top cap often took some work to unscrew. Now it installs and removes like a dream.

The vapor production is incredible and the airflow is amazing. I can not wait for the release.

I, once again am ever impressed by Team GP as all of their devices move forward in advanced design. I also find it very refreshing that Perseas cares enough to always listen to his fans trying to satisfy every group of vapors and he nails it every time.

GP you nailed it with the V3. Thank you for thinking of us. Love you Brother!

i'm a couple of hours into my V3/Heron and i'm not sure if i'm dizzy from the awestruck or chain vaping. I love the seamlessness of it all. I'm not much of a cloud chaser because half the time i'm stealthing it...but man is it ever hazy in here. I almost feel like i can chew the flavour that comes out of here. The device is absolutely stunning. Bravo Perseas....and thanks to everyone here for sharing your knowledge...especially Chadsmo/Quorax/Idaho. I had this up and running within the first fifteen minutes. If I came across this device without this forum and had to deal with all these parts a year and a half ago, i'd probably still be smoking....or suffering it out on some protank heads.IMG_5654.jpg
