So far I am really liking it. I opted to use some of the .8 ribbon that I got with the Heron , but I'm just not sure I like it that much to be honest. It won't be in there for long anyhow.

As for dripping , I've used a dripper pretty much every day for over a year so it's just something I'm totally used to. There is always a bottle juice in my pocket or within arms reach.

Good evening all, I know I have been away for like the past 2 weeks, but damn I have been busy at work. My company is slated to make 7 million this month alone and it will be the biggest month in the 8 years I have worked there.

I got the same one cliffy. I was going to get the Panasonic but could not find it here and shipping it from JP was a bit much although I ship stuff from JP all the time. I think the weight was the problem. The one that you and me have is basically a knock off of the panasonic model but has a few more feature like a longer run time per cycle. I have had no problems with it yet.

Dear GP family,

I have had my Heron for a while now and I am very very happy with it. I have it as my go-to atty together with the Paps 3 - a lovely combination.

Now, a couple of gripes (first world problems, really) I haven't been able to solve:

a) no matter how I build the Heron (I have tried most of the builds suggested on the thread, currently using the flat kanthal "tape" wire supplied with the atty pack with a cotton build) on the draw I have a slight whistling noise. Nothing too serious, but is anybody else experiencing it? I have installed the new bell. I have experienced with the AFC and it doesn't seem to make a difference (except for tightening up the draw of course). It's not terrible, but maybe there is a fix?

b) There is a tiny gap between the tank cover and the atomizer base, see picture.
View attachment 330667.
Again, it is small, and I await being shouted at for OCD issues :D. If I squish the top down, then it closes, but it pops up again to form the small gap. Any ideas, do I need to wait for the Orings to settle more?

c) Not for the family, but for King P: Looking at the rest of the thread, I think I should at least have had one longer GPin top. (I had two of the same length with my order of Paps3 and Heron). In hybrid mode it's no problem to make contact with AW18490s, but in 510 Mode I have some rattle. I guess I could add one in the comments for my next order?

Thanks for your help!

Ozy

Ozy, I have both of the problems you have. I think the center hole of the 3 is the cause but I am not so sure. I don't think it is related to burs, but when I rub my fingers across the holes I swear I feel like they are not completely smooth. I may be that the steel kinda pushes outward a bit when it is punctured during machining. I also felt kinda like I am being OCD so I have not mentioned it.

The Quasar has landed.

Chad how is it so far? I placed an order for a Zenith V2 for now as I mainly vape with a single coil and higher nic. I am too lazy to DIY some juice with lower nic to test dual coils thoroughly. Does the Quasar have the option to only expose 1x air inlet like the Origen?

My list was Zenith v2, Quasar, stillare. When the Zenith comes I hope it is all that some have said it is. I am still in the market for 1-2 more atomizers. It may go up though depending on the next V day. :)

Sorry for the text wall guys, I have missed you all and hopefully my job will slow down. It also took me a while to catch up with the thread. :p

I must drop in and say I'm definitely a huge fan of the Quasar. The build quality is absolutely stellar, airflow is perfectly designed and won't budge unintentionally, and I absolutely love the o-rings being inside the top cap and not on the base. The flavor it puts out is fantastic, and as you've seen above and in the picture I'm about to post, it looks a treat on the incredible Paps X.

Has info been hinted by chance on the timing of the next vapourday. I've seen some stuff saying possibly May 6th? I'm trying to figure out if I should keep going with this hunt for a Paps V3 second hand or just wait for vapourday and not pay flipped price. Not to mention getting a Lux wouldn't hurt :)

For the record bro, we had exchanged emails about it and I had suggested to send you a new topper, but you refused, the offer is still valid though :)

The whistle is something for which we haven't found any cause except certain builds and liquid inside the base.

Yes, I confirm that. Which is why I always vouch for GP's customer service as well :)

Two things are rock solid here:
1) Superior Products, AND
2) Exemplary Client Relationship.

O-rings and I have a love/hate relationship, I think I'd do more damage taking them off before cleaning than the UC could do. I've just been throwing atomizers in the UC for over a year...a little o-ring paranoia setting in now :(

Because I have some spares I'm going to try without removing the o-rings for a little bit to see the degradation.

I have a bit of a problem with manipulating o-rings myself.

We'll have to see who does more damage to them, me or the UC ... it is supposed to arrive tomorrow.

Flavor
Origen v2 > Quasar = Stillare = Zenith v2 > Veritas > Origen V1 > TOBH v2

Easy of use & Build
Zenith v2 > TOBH v2 > Quasar = Stillare > Origen v2 > Veritas > Origen V1

Juice wells
Origen v2 > Veritas > Origen V1 > TOBH v2 > Zenith v2 > Quasar = Stillare

Flexibility to build ridiculous coils
Stillare > Zenith v2 > Quasar > TOBH v2 > Origen v2 = Origen V1 > Veritas

Magma and Odin coming in to test next. Not expecting much from the Magma but the Odin look pretty good and it's a great price.

I've only used two builds on it (had to take the ribbon out , dunno if it's just me but I can taste the metal on ribbon) but so far I really like it. The build quality is stellar, it just feels really nice. Looks wise I think it's a stunner too. Great AFC and I love the horizontal slots instead of round holes.

Yes it has the ability to run in single coil more which is very nice. Once I get my 26g wire I'll probably move it to a single coil at about .8 to see how it performs.

Its a very nice compliment to my Origen.

So you can make it just a single air path? Cause I hate when I have 2x airflow paths on single coils lol.

Yup, you can close off one slot completely.

I love it when engravings line up :) this tube might get more use. But that means the Lux tube can't , damn I need another switch…

I'm curious on trying dual 24g on 1/8 id but thinking bout it seems like it would get real hot lol. Anyone know a good way to wick the coil when using single coils on a RDA

Sent from my Nexus 5

Careful with that. Dual 6 wraps of 24ga on 1/8 is only about .25Ω ...

How u get the engravings lined up while at the same time having the airholes line up in front of the coils?
