I'm a little nervous, my wife went out with the girls and she wanted my V3 and Heron. I'm hoping it comes back in one piece and not all scratched up as she just threw it in her purse. She does not vape but she's always asking to use mine once in a while when we are out drinking. I must of explained how to use it and to not scratch it up a million times before she left door. She said "gosh it's like leaving your daughter with a baby sitter for the first time". I said "it sure is!" Lol

Then you will be forever known as 'fussy'. No, I just like to get my stuff back in the condition I gave it to you in. Spouses don't seem to understand, that with some things, loaning it to a friend or you spouse is the same thing. I have yet to learn how to put this across in a way that doesn't lower my wife faction.

Sometimes threads need to be de-burred too. I lube them up with Vaseline and go back and forth lightly to try and break the edge. Even if it is small and hard to see, a burr will lock it up. Also the pitch can be off a little.

Dude! Thank you! The Vaseline worked like a champ.
Lubed it up a little and some working it back and forth and now it fits on both tubes. I've seen Vaseline mentioned in the GG forum but never really needed it and I hate adding anything that will attract gunk so I've never tried it.

This is a good advise, although we clean the threads very carefully, before we put them on the store. The accuracy of the pitch is the same for all the batches, the threads are calibrated since v2.5. But there is always the possibility of Versa to have a slightly off pitch due to non calibrated threading, which means that it won't screw with every calibrated M20x1 tube.

Got a question about the threading on the LUX 2.5 tubes.
I picked up Lux 0397 from the classifieds and it came with a Versa hybrid dripper which is 20x1 threaded. I ordered the LUX 2.5 500 and 650 tubes from Domo and the Versa will not thread onto the top of either tube. It'll screw in just fine to the bottom and so the mod will work fine if I use the tube upside down with the vent holes right by my face. The top cap that came with the LUX will screw onto all of the tubes just fine.
When trying to screw the Versa onto the top threads it goes in a little ways and starts squeaking. I can thread it in more but then it gets really tight and starts to stick and won't go any further. I've scrubbed the threads on everything with toothpaste so the threads are nice and clean.

I think you should send your Versa to him to check whether can fit with any LUX v2.5 tubes in case lubing doesn't work, because calibrated and non calibrated parts cannot match always, quite the opposite happens. I remember that when we first made the v2.5. few people couldn't unscrew the iHybrid from the LUX tube, because the former used uncalibrated threads. Perhaps it is the same case here.

This was a very good advise for these cases, I am glad it worked here, be sure that only a thin film has been applied onto the threads and clean them thoroughly after some use, removing the tiniest residue from it.

Howdy Sir! Hope all is well, with you and yours. :)

My dear lady, everything is better! Your presence and the presence of the other ladies in this forum offer an invigorating and different view for everything, I'm feeling honoured for having you (and the rest) here! Thank you so much :)

We are still preparing many things for our reopening, while the public holidays have slowed the things a bit till the middle of the coming week.
