I waited for this very response by anybody, from the moment I read the suggestion :D

Haha yeah, I figured.

Personally, I'd have no problem with it being run that way because I own a couple a serialized items, but I felt it

would cause conflict between people since not everyone has been fortunate enough to own multiple products and may feel like they got the "short straw" so-to-speak. Better options that are equal are available. Personally, I like the separate thread/one post per day suggestion. This gives you an advantage for posting every day versus those who don't, and everyone is able to participate equally given a minimal effort.

On the flip side, giveaways are not necessary. We love it here regardless.

you could maybe do like a raffle drawing with the serial numbers users input in the spreadsheet for the X, v3, Heron, etc..So basically the more serialized GP products you have the better your odds. Lol I know it may seem unfair for the ones who don't have much serialized GP products atm, but that gives incentive:) Also I feel the ones who invested the most and longest deserve the better odds.

That sounds as a smart suggestion, let's see what others will say for it, or any another idea :)

Sounds to me the likelihood of those with more will usually be the winners so what would be the point of those with less participating? To buy more?
Financially that may not be an option to those without deep pockets.
As much as I like nice gear it won't all be geared to one brand. I'm not devoted like that.

I respect equal chances, as well. I am just searching for a fresh idea to do that.

Idaho would win every time since he has as much GP gear than all of us combined. :p

...yes, I know it's not all serialized tubes he's got but he still has a lot. Haha

This was a very good advise for these cases, I am glad it worked here, be sure that only a thin film has been applied onto the threads and clean them thoroughly after some use, removing the tiniest residue from it.
Thanks Perseas. I just finished scrubbing everything down to remove any Vaseline and now everything is nice and shiny and the Versa threads on beautifully.
Not sure I want to send it off to Domo though as I'm really enjoying it :p

I got this based on a previous *fluff* search.

Picked this up from Monster Pets & couldn't wait to come home & use it. This stuff is an absolute mess. It's not the kind you cut to your desired length. Just falls apart.

The only way I could see using this is to leave the bell in place & pack/stuff it in instead of rolling.

If you send it back, there is a possibility to repeat the whole procedure, not due to any remained bur, but because the threading is calibrated for better conductivity and this isn't the norm for all the modders.

The whole thing is generated and created by all the people here. Without all of you, we couldn't be able to continue, not even design. George and I want to show our gratitude in some way, so we decided to create a monthly contest for the GP family, offering GP Series devices. We're still pondering how to do it, any suggestion is welcomed!

You provide us with excellent products. You provide us with excellent customer service. You are here for us on a regular basis. You do all of this, while keeping the prices reasonable. I appreciate your desire to show us your gratitude. However, you are already doing so by how you conduct your business. Therefore, I see 'contests' or 'giveaways' a kind, but unnecessary gesture. This 'environment' you have created, is a rare find in today's world.

Does anyone know what I can use in place of the GP Fluff I would just order some from domo but he seems to be out of stock at the moment.
Pm your address to me and I am happy to send a new sheet of v2 fluff from Perseas that I have left.

Hello all, I hope all is fantastic. Just got back in.

So the people who have more, get more? And the people who can't afford more, get less?

Seems a little "shafty" to me lol

Great answer Path. I feel this way about monthly drawings/giveaways in general. It creates a cheap feeling to me. They also can quickly generate animosity and a favoritism feel between forums as well.
I think it is fantastic tool for the builder in cases such as the Heron was given away. But, there are many forums that we have a GP section with many of the same members and all it takes is one of them to say "Hey King P can we also have a giveaway?" Before you know it FunkMaster P feels obligated to manage them. And I know for a fact, there is no time.
GP and Perseas does an incredible amount more than any builder, high end and non high end, for all of us through his service and passion and to expect any more just doesn't feel right.

Cucco and Idabro match my thoughts almost exactly.

There's no need for giveaways. The atmosphere here that you've instated is fantastic, and I'd hate to see "others" jump to this side of the fence for the sake of getting free stuff and "taint the waters" so-to-speak. Yes, its nice, and I think those of us here would play nice, but when the word gets out...who knows? Obviously more people coming is a great thing, and should be encouraged, but getting them here based on giveaways could be a bad thing as well.

I think the support, service, atmosphere, and the things Cucco mentioned are plenty from King P. If he wants to do giveaways, that's fine, but I wouldn't hold it as an expected thing each month so that people bite the hand that feeds.

Hello all, I hope all is fantastic. Just got back in.

Hey hows it going Idaho! I hope everyone is having a great Saturday.

I decided to build up my Heron using SNC yarn. I did a figure 8 and placed a needle for support and wrapped it up like I would if I were to use silica. Working out great so far seems to wick like crazy too. I decided to leave out the deck plate and the filler tube is sitting more flush on the deck.

All of the above!! By keeping your pricing low, relative to most, you are creating a "give away" every vapourday. I believe your desire to keep the cost and availability of your products within reach of the masses is more than enough. Compound that with the outstanding customer service and the community that you have created...
