I usually use a couple rubber bands and twist. But then again I went to take the top off my 23mm and twisted the whole top off. I think I have a twisted fill oring jammed in there.

I swear the oddest things happen to me

Tried that the first time I wanted to clean it out and ended up chipping one of the tubes. Than whilst putting it back together the chipped part sliced half way through the two o-rings which ended in not having a proper vacuum anymore and a small drop kept coming out from in between those o-rings. Took it apart again, drained the liquid, replaced the o-rings and of course completely cracked the tube on assembly.

That's why I'm wondering if there's an easy way about it

Hello all!

I've been using a SnP tank for a few months now and was wondering what the best way is to remove (at least one) the end caps from the quartz tubes.

Also, does anyone know if the new quartz tubes will be compatible with 22mm SnP v1?

Thanks!

Sorry to hear its giving you a hard time. I have a SnP 23mm V1. It's my normal routine with it to change the bottom cap back and forth between the standard bottom base and a Pro Base as I use it on both flat top mods and ProVari's; AND to take the top cap off about every 3rd-4th refill to clean out the excess liquid that always seems to get there. Never had any issues doing either. I use one of those kitchen rubber sheet thingies sold for getting tight food jar lids/bottle caps loose. Have had it so many years (probably 20-30) that I don't remember what they are called. Mine is about 5.5" (140mm) square, and stays on my vape desk all of the time. It does not marr or damage finishes so is safe to use on anything.

EDIT to add:

Just did a quick search... found these. Says they are rubber so I guess OK. Mine is white with a "knobby" rubber texture.

I just have to wait for vapourday to order a bunch of tubes, that way I won't have the stress of not having spares laying around.

As far as grips go, I use those thick elastic bands the mail uses.. I tie a knot on both sides which gives me 1,5cm loop on either side, than cut it in the middle and I'm left with two little grippy thingies that I don't have name for ;)

I actually started using those when I got stuck taking apart my KFL+ and had nothing else on hand as we were at the cottage in the countryside

I use the included red orings, the caps come off easily but not easily enough that you're worried about them when it's all set up.

I learned to use a dab, and just a dab of Vaseline on the SnP cap threading. And all I and D do is just do quick light back and fourth motions, a quick flick of you will and they easily break free.
The idea behind the Vaseline is to keep the threads lubed and free of juice from drying in them.
Good luck buddy!
Oh, we also dab the bottom of the cap that mates with your tube for the same reasons.

Mine is white with a "knobby" rubber texture.

I have a roll of the "knobby" rubber cupboard liner.
It's soft, super flexible, washable, has super grip power, and is cheap.
Beats your rubber bands guys.
Since my hands aren't the best, I have some in the house and garage, to get a grip whenever and where-ever
Cut the size piece you want, and use the rest to line something .. they don't "glue" down, but they don't move or slide either.
Gee's, I finally got to contribute something to the thread

Hi buddy :)

Yes, the fused quartz tubes for the GP SnP 22 mm v2 are the same and they will be available as spares soon. The GP Outlet tubes fit too. I use rubber bands to remove the caps and I also learned a few new methods from the other posts :)

Just given you d business bruddah. Yep, I see that. I also showed back up yesterday chompin at the GP bit. I think I agree about the X switch. I have a hard time deciding which I like better, the X switch or the PAPS. I am way bias on the PAPS switch because I and a few others got to see the awesome changes but, after a deep clean of the X switches last night.....WOW they kick ....
The toughest question is the favorite between the V2.5 and V3. Again, through the evolution, I still remember staring in Love with the 2.5.
I am going to say that the V3 is as incredible with parallel love from me. I don't think I have an answer on that one. Like mentioned many times, Regardless GP has the rest of the builders scrambling as I read many places that no one can touch the quality build. I agree with that, there isnt a button/switch in the biz even close.

BOMB!

Something about looking at pictures of GP gear that makes me all tingly inside.

Random note: I like to take apart things that have a lot of small intricate parts and the X easily fulfills my fetish, amazing for something that looks so simple and beautiful on the outside.

I love my X-factor, an easy go to device

Also known as GP Fixation a common effect on ones self that has been exposed to GP devices.
G•P (G P) + fix•a•tion (fɪkˈseɪ ʃən)

n.
1. the act of fixing or fixating or the state of being fixed or fixated on the number one device in the vaping market.
2. the process of rendering a kick ... device permanent by removal of horrible clones, copies and wannabes.
3. Psychoanal. a partial arrest of mod expression of choice at an early stage of vaping development.
4. a preoccupation with one or many GP devices.

This is a very common side effect and is nothing to worry about other than your finances when exposed. If more help is needed we have created a hotline to assist in coping with your new fetish (888)GPROCKS :)

And if I may add:
5. Selling all non GP gear you use to lust over to prepare for Vapor Day

Lol this is great, this needs to be at least on Wikipedia then soon Websters :)

I believe there must be one more:
6. The feeling of complete security from one of, if not, the best patronage support out there. (Caution: the love and care IS contagious)

So can I also assume that V2 fused quartz tubes will also fit the SnP 23mm V1? Thanks.

The GP SnP fused quartz tubes will come in 1.5 mm and 2 mm thickness, the former can accept long covers and they are compatible with:

GP SnP 22 mm v1
(short covers)
GP SnP 22 mm v2 (short covers)
GP SnP 22/23 mm v1 (short & long covers)
GP SnP FULL SET (22/23) v2 (short & long covers)

While the latter can accept only short covers and they are compatible only with:

GP SnP 23 mm v2 (short covers unique for this edition)

To clarify that the GP SnP 22/23 mm includes both short and long covers , we renamed it to:

GP SnP FULL SET (22/23) v2 (short & long covers).

Your assumption is correct :)
