Question. How would I polish the inside engravings of logos on the Lux tube ?

I took a day off from work this past friday so I could sign for the delivery of Lux v3 and to have a 4 day Memorial weekend

Kill Bill 1 & 2 are movies! I'd had been mortified if I read there was a 3. Although I don't know you as well as others do I see enough of your post that it would've hurt my heart if anything had happened to you.

Question back - 1)Are you keeping the tube shiny? or 2) are you allowing the Patina to remain?

1) Find a wax that is grit free and removes oxidation such as Mothers - can be found at most auto stores. A few of us use other varieties.
2) A dremel with the small felt polishers will also work to fit in the small engraving.

If you are careful a tiny bit of never dull wadding tightly wrapped on a q tip stick will work well. This can also be used to clean the tube if desired.

All of my tubes when new from Vapour Art I clean once again and then I apply a fine wax to the tubes and buff. This is not needed but, I love the feel, it seals the metal and may keep them a bit cleaner for a bit.

I like the tube shiny but I only clean it bi-weekly. My dremel will finally be put to use.

I only have never-dull to clean the tubes. I'll check if my current wax I have will work.

Hey sparc,

Just as another option if you want to try it, I can vouch for Cape Cod Polishing cloths. Doing like Idaho suggests is definitely how you want to do for a literally perfect finish, but if all you want to do is a quick polish job, the CC Cloths do a pretty impressive job IMHO. And you can use them on pretty much anything. Its hand polish though, no matter how hard you work at it, the machine finish is going to beat it majority of the time(Though my Father might disagree with me on this matter )

I can't remember if anyone has had this issue or not, so I"ll post because it may be helpful. When I reassemble the gpin on the V3 the delrin that surrounds the pin screws all the way in with the gp fork, but it can also go one full revolution further until it stops. I've noticed inconsistent hits since cleaning and after trouble-shooting, I backed off the delrin surround. Since doing this it has hit every single time and the button doesn't need to be depressed as far to fire, this also means my finger isn't rubbing on the little nubs on the switch.

Spark, as we have discussed many times do yourself a favor and buy some Autosol. It is not cheap but is the best in the industry. King P I am sure agrees as well as, many collectors(boo ). I am pleased to see that it is finally available in a tube verses a 50 gallon drum
It is the pinnacle of polishes in our world.

No trilogy, thank God. Its funny, I actually got a chance to vape while I was in the ambulance. Now that would have been a nice pic to take. I was not frowning then. LOL

Quentin has gone back and forth on this a few times. Originally it was planned to come out this year , but then he put it on hold to focus on other projects. I for one would love to see a third installment.

We just spent 4.5 hours in our garden of zen. Weeded, thinned radishes and carrots, vaped, pruned the tomato plants, vaped, added 2 buckets(tractor) of dairy compost, vaped, netted strawberries, vaped, trimmed black berries, played with Howard the Rottweiler, vaped.

Now we celebrate with copious amounts of food, music and dance. Or you can know I am full of compost and waiting for the next chore festivities to begin, or "chortivities".
