You may need to send it back for fixing or replacement. Write us email to provide you the return address.

This is totally true! All threads of the X Ti MUST be always lubricated with a thin film of vaseline and an accidental drop may create serious issues. We gave greater tolerance to the sections for that very reason, but Titanium has no nickel into his composition like the 316 SS to help the threads slide smoothly with each other, the feeling of the threads is hard compared to 316 SS. This will be in the product's description as a warning.
Many people believe the only difference between SS and Ti is the hardness and the weight, but they are two completely different alloys with different properties and the user has to consider and respect them, if he wants to enjoy a Titanium mod for a long time.

Very true P, I have dealt with titanium bicycle parts and screws for years and definitely know from experience the care needed for Ti.

Thank you P.

I'll send an email when my internet comes back on. Can you believe it? First my beloved X and now my Internet. And it's not even the 13th today.

Writing from my phone :)

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

I got batteries put in my red Hummer. Yes! $500. Ugh! That's what happens when you get old and lazy, and have a dude come take care of you! :)

Titanium. It is an odd metal. I hate Titanium guns. I still have one. I won't shoot it anymore. Shooting it, hurts my old hands. Not enough weight to help absorb some of the kick of a .357.

Ti is stronger and lighter than SS.

One thing I have found with Ti, it is 'stickier'. I could be wrong, but because of the 'stickier', threading is more likely to get stuck. That has been my experience with previous TIs.

Ti is stronger/lighter but also softer. It will scratch more easily.

I'm with you. I may not take it out of the house (at least not for a while) but used it would be. I have many that can travel.
If I believe as time gets closer that id be afraid of using it, I'd likely pass on the day of release. I don't want to spend any money on something to specifically sit on display.

I decided up front my GP buys would get used no matter what. So I would use an X-Ti same as a X Lux or any of the rest. The why is because I already have what ended up being just high end "show pieces" I shouldn't have bought. I bought them because they were unicorns, wrong attitude. I don't display any of them, don't need the reminder of foolish buying. And I'm one who has never dropped anything - all my gear bought new is still like new. But I just don't have any interest in using them, so also no interest in keeping them.

Yes, you did say softer. Sorry I misinterpreted it. That's what happens when you have a Yankee on your back.

I've stripped quite a few Ti screws back in the day from too much torque. Then they finally released recommended torque specs on bike parts because I wasn't the only one. [emoji14]

If you'd step out of line and let me stand without you breathing down my neck, it wouldn't be an issue.

And it sounds like Ti may not be for you. :D
