Just received my first Paps X (Lux s/n 171). I thought that the switch on the V3's were the best switches I've ever used, but I think the X has it beat!! The switch on this thing is just exquisite...I am loving my new X!!

Happy Anniversary Yankee and JoJo....hopefully things will slow down for me in a couple more weeks, just not much time to hang out on the pc lately. We have had a lot of rain and very happy we don't live along a waterway, there is a lot of flooding around us. I'm very happy it's Friday and hope everyone has a great weekend.

It truly is!! :D

Wonder how that happened? Maybe P just ships them out randomly rather than sequentially?

I'm not sure how it works. I do know my second Heron had a lower serial than my first by around 100 units or so.
The patina on the X Lux is coming along really nicely. It's not like anything I've ever seen.
It's got almost a gloss to it and even seems a little different than the 2.5 or 3.0 tubes.

I would like to give away my new polished SS X Ring (literally just unpacked it). I just installed it on my new Paps X Lux and am not crazy about the look, so I ordered a Lux X Ring from VA just now.....

Would anybody like to have it? The first person to PM me saying that they want it will get it...I can ship it out today Express Mail (I can ship Express for free from work which is awesome! I borderline abuse the privelage, but it's OK... :) )....Let me know if you'd like it!!

I have no problem with the buttons. I don't feel it and the natural way of changing a battery from the button makes perfect sense in the v3 button.
However, do NOT go to wipe/clean the Heron drip tip while holding the base and oring. That edge will CUT YOU UP!
I totally agree with you about the direction of threading on the 3.0. Although I change batts from the top.

Haha yes...yes it is!! :D

Hey it's the least I can do for the GP Family, right? I figure pass it along to someone who will use it more frequently than I will (I have a Lux X Ring on the way so I won't use this one).... :)

I created myself a GP caddy. I have all sorts of parts and goodies in the compartments. External parts are in bags to avoid scratches. Then springs, and such.

Then I have another caddy with a crap ton of orings (quiet Idaho). Some day I'm going to research all the sizes in GP and match up what I have to it.
