I'm not sure how it works. I do know my second Heron had a lower serial than my first by around 100 units or so.
The patina on the X Lux is coming along really nicely. It's not like anything I've ever seen.
It's got almost a gloss to it and even seems a little different than the 2.5 or 3.0 tubes.
It happens sometimes to a few units because some part doesn't pass the quality control and we put it on stock with a new part later and when they are purchased from us and our resellers by the same person.
2.5 love!!
My one very slight issue with the 3.0 switches are the sharp edges. They aren't that bad but I can definately feel them when firing it.
I have posted about how we improve our mods during every batch and I repost about the v3 switches. In the latest batches of the v3 switch, the edges of the locking ring are now smoother, we redesigned the external ridges it in 4 places. You need macro lens to be able to see it. If you look closely you can see the differences between the two rings. The current batches of GP PAPS v3 SS and LUX Edition use the updated ring with more bevelled circumference and slanted edges for the 4 slots where the button rests. The production time for the locking ring only is 8 minutes now, without counting polishing, ultra sonic cleaning, checking and assembling.
The updated left locking ring is still unpolished having the machine finish (it'll become softer) and the right one is the previous locking ring.
If you rub it softly with a grit paper, it'll become smoother.
