OOOps , guess I should clean my glasses again. I just did some cooking and like always I must have a haze of food mixed with cat hair impairing my vision. Wish I had the funds right now, Id get another X..... But thats okay...... in a month or so, I will have another item to "sacrifice" to the PAPS Gods.

OMG. Paps X Lux 18650 TUBES?!?!?! P, it's on!

I'm not much of an 18650 guy, so I'll be passing on the 18650 LUX tubes, but they're a great idea for people who like that form factor. I'd probably grab an 18500 LUX tube if it was offered since that what I run my X's on (and then I'd probably get an 18650 tube just to have a full set).

Speaking of varmints, I had a pest control service come to the house today since I have a family of skunks living under my front porch. They laid a few traps and I keep checking them to see if we caught anything. If I lived closer to MA I'd offer them to Yankee to grill.

I am normally an 18490/18500 guy with all of my other mods (GP or otherwise), but I must say I've really enjoyed running my X with a VTC5 (which, quite frankly, have been getting neglected as of late!).....so I may jump on an 18650 Lux X Tube as it would be handy to have.... :)

The mixed and matched pics are what sold me as that's what I will be doing. I just don't know exactly how I want it.
I know my switch and serial section will be SS. Then the 650 Lux tube and obviously SS top cap. But do I want a brushed X ring or use my polished or the Lux ring? I mainly use my KFL on my X and it looks amazing with the polished ring. Hmmmmm. Tough decisions here.

I know there are a lot of brass drip tips out there, so maybe I am incorrect. I once asked Perseas if there were plans for a Lux version of the Heron, and he replied about not wanting the alubronze touching the juice. So maybe an expert can step in here, because I am not one.

Maybe because the the Lux material is bronze vs. brass?

That could certainly be part of it, Todai. Brass and bronze have both been used to supply water for drinking and bathing purposes and have to be lead free , including the materials used to connect them.
Here is an article I found, dont know how in depth it is, it was the first one I found that was written in a manner I could kinda understand:) I believe Naval brass is lead free. The article does mention that there is lead free bronze too. Im sure P has his reasons and Im sure they are for our safety.

Im sure while he would love to make all our fantasies come to life , he does have to make sure we are safe.
