Thank to my bro I am now the pro owner of a GP med mode! Omg it is b e a u tiful!
Thank bro! Can't wait to get my batteries and fire this beauty up!
You rule!

Welcome Sparkle and thank you for the praise!

AW MAN, I GOT IT!!! You all are fantastic!!!!!!! I actually used the edges of some rubber thing people use when they have leg muscle issues that was lying in a closet cuz I didn't have any rubberbands ( I grabbed a microcloth too tho @Mackoy 09 ;) ). It's like this long elastic band that comes in different colors for different amounts of tension for leg exercises. Whatever! It was a tool for my PAPS today! Thanks again everybody, I appreciate the help. :)

Welcome buddy, it is simple, isn't ? :D

The PnB tools are fantastic ... but here's a DIY method I came up with for cheap.

Created a Mod Polishing Jig

Nice! To think out of the box is always welcomed :)

No offense intended... Purely passing knowledge to those that may choose to find it helpful.
I have purchased PnB tools myself and find them supremely useful but for the record the mod polisher holder thingy works quite well for me.

Anyway... Love GP... Love the forum...vape On!

I am with you, sharing what we create with our minds and hands is half of the fun and I am sure Idahobro agrees as well :)

Hello Mr P. I do have to say that Greek / Turkish is some of the best coffee in the world.

Hello my dear :) Yep, it is an special aromatic coffee and it is a cultural gift from the East. I don't drink any kind of coffee, but I love to smell the Turkish coffee, I love the smell of the roasted coffee beans too :)

Weight is a funny thing. Some, struggle to put it on. Some, struggle to get it off. I get so tired of being told my BMI is too low. I get so tired of being told I am too thin. I try!

What is really funny, socially, people who don't even know you, will remark that you are too thin. Really? I don't tell them, they are too fat! Who says stuff like that? It is insulting. I could be sick. They don't know. Funny.....

I do sympathise. I was once meeting a group in a crowded restaurant. As I entered, an acquaintance yelled out to me from across the other side of the room, "You're still pathetically skinny, I see! When are you going to put on some weight?"

That was rude, maybe a poor attempt to welcome you, but he failed to express himself properly.

Oh I know, no offense take or intended for you. Please know my intent was not to be rude at all, my words failed to represent my thoughts. I did my best. Not good enough. It was the timing I suppose. We have been talking about the PnB for a couple of days and then a post how to build one instead of buy the GP PnB was awkward in my humble opinion.
I apologize as I did not mean to offend you by any means. Enjoy.

I love the Peaberries. I just finished a Peaberry Kenya..... I used to get coffee at 8th Sin Coffee. Lately Ive been using the Trader Joes Peaberries. Pretty good. I will have to check out the one you mentioned. I like a good medium strength coffee. I like smooth not harsh and the aroma is so important . Most so called "gourmets" just smell like skunks.

WOW, its been a long time, I just found some of that Peaberry Kona Volcanica Reserve at this place pricey, will have to give it a try someday. I also went to check out the 8th sin place and it has changed A LOT. THey no longer have the ones I used to get.

I've tried Peaberry's from Hawai'i, Costa Rica and Tanzania, but from which country is pretty much subjective to taste. Even within a county which growing region it comes from determins what the quality of it will be. I want 100% from the best region(s), not a blend. Blends are common from many sources that "call" their's Peaberry, but it only contains a percentage of those beans, usually a small percentage. Even some of the sources in Hawai'i sell blended Peaberry Kona's. But they are regulated in Hawai'i to the minimum percentage they must have. No place else Peaberry is grown is regulated. I prefer the Peaberry Kona's from certain growers on the Big Island of Hawai'i that have the best of the best in Hawai'i and are 100%. Price to some extent is a clue to being from the best growing regions, just being 100% does not and those from lessor regions are usually way cheaper. When you want the best for your passion the cost doesn't matter. I'd call my drinking coffee a passion (grandma started me on it nearly 60 years ago)... if my doctors told me I'd die tomorrow if I didn't immediately stop drinking it, I'd die tomorrow. ;)

No problem bro, ideas are flowing to all directions and we all like to share what we think for something from our perspective, this is the essence of communication and it is wonderful. An old cartomizer can substitute the PnB, or his idea, why not? The best things (even our own selves) have come to existence thru interactions :)

Been a bit busy building a patio and working, so I haven't been around. However, figured I would hop on, say hi... and add my thoughts regarding the Heron and PapsX. I feel like I have had them long enough to give an opinion now.

First things first. What we all already know - build quality and materials are superb. I have found nothing better out there. The only threading that feels better is the X-Lux. Truly great!

The Heron - I really dig it. I love the design and quality. It only has 1 quirk and that is the whistle. The whistle is a bit annoying. The only other thing that I would note is the draw is a bit tight compared to what I am used to. Not horrible, just a bit tighter than I like. Otherwise, I don't think you can get a better atomizer. It works fantastically in a cotton setup (though I did have some wick burning last night with the can body still full of juice... not sure why). Flavor is great. And of course the look and feel are top shelf all around. I would recommend making the body fit over the deck regardless of side... I have now had to pour out my juice twice to turn it around, having put the top on the wrong end like an idiot. LOLOL Worth the $$? IMO, yes. There is just nothing else like it out there. It is so easy to fill and clean... even if you need to rewick (as I did last night) you don't have to pour out your juice or worry about air pressure.

PapsX - The switch (having adjusted it) is brilliant. I love love love the switch. I love the look and feel of the mod. The materials and quality can truly be felt in your hand. My only nit pick would be that the switch is hard to unlock one handed since the button is so smooth (not that I am encouraging some knurling... I love the feel of the switch as is and knurling would be "meh"). Griping the button with your pinky and spinning the mod works... Worth the $$$? Hard to say, really. That depends on how much weight you put on quality materials and craftsmanship. It is, after all, a metal tube. The major selling points are the switch (awesome) and the gpin top cap (I admit... I haven't used it -- hybrid mode only thus far). I can say that most any metal tube will do the job of a metal tube. So for practicality... the $$ may be a bit steep. However, if craftsmanship and quality are your thing (as well as fantastic switches) then that comes at a premium, and the Paps is the best and its price is in line with other mods. So it's subjective. Of course, there is also something to be said about supporting a business that truly does a fantastic job and cares about it's clientele.

Welcome to the GP thread again!
Personally I think the GP tool is a far better choice for a couple of reasons as, I have refinished many many devices and atomizers with it.
The quality of the PnB by GP it's intended to be used for the specific purpose of polishing, brushing and refinishing vaping devices from mods to attys with a 510 connection. As well, it is beyond anything one could rig together from HD or anywhere.
I also know our Family here would much rather support Perseas and GP as he supports us incredibly.
Knowing you were sharing which is much appreciated btw and out of pure respect, I'm not sure your post was best placed here in the GP thread. Just sayin.
Hoping you understand :) Thanks.

Just sent you a PM, Idaho

Thank you very much for sharing your personal impressions and suggestions about our creations!

When you're saying cotton setup do you mean a fluffless build? Do you have a GP Heron v1 or v1.5?

Good Morning fellow GP'ers!! :)

haven't been here since yesterday afternoon, so I have some catching up to do!! :D

I just wanted to say that you guys were absolutely right. Dripping GVC on a low-ohm build is NOT optimal. Last night, I put a 1.2 Ohm Eco-Wool build in my new Prometey, and proceeded to load it up with GVC. Straight away I noticed that the flavor was sweeter, and the custard notes were definitely enhanced. IMO GVC tastes excellent anyway, but I can now see why Grant himself recommends what he does...

The Prometey is no Heron, but it's a great atty in its own right. Definitely a whole different "feel" than vaping with the Heron. For starters, the thing is so light!! I mean it feels like there's nothing to it (that's due to the Ti). It doesn't even feel like there's an atty on top of my mod!! lol....but it vapes very nice. I have mine setup with 3mm Eco-Wool formed into a "Loop", and 28ga. Kanthal. I am using GP Fluff as filler....

All in all I am SO happy that you guys steered me away from dripping GVC!! Thanks very much for the tips!!! :)

Yes, I am using no fluff and cotton with concentrator cap(?). Build ver 1.5 (the one with the air slot). And thank YOU for making such a great product!

fluffless builds are not recommended and the Heron was not designed for them. I setup the heron with fluff without the topper and never get dry hits.

Everyone that I know that has one runs it the same way that I do for cotton builds and have no problems at all. In fact, I have gone through many tanks since I got mine and this was the first time that I have had this happen. My guess is that the cotton clogged a bit at the coil b/c the part of the wick that goes through the topper all the way down to the coil was clean and soaked. It was the section in the middle of the coil and the tail that were burning and dried out a bit.

In fact, I have read (on here, forget which poster) that using the fluff with cotton has caused dry hits.
