A quick look at the definition of the acid reflux disease shows how much related is with our dietary habits. In my experience, it is easily treatable with a few changes in our eating/sleeping patterns and a bit of observation of our behavioural responses during emotional situations. Pain is an invaluable body signal that we are doing something wrong. Subtle changes like eating clean liquids and drinking unprocessed foods (the power of chewing) for a period of time, as babes and very old people used to do, can have miraculous results, putting the whole pharmaceutical theory to the bin.

I'm an American living Europe - and I think the Heron is great (both the v1 and the v1.5). The Spheroid has the tighter draw, but I still love it - just a different type of vape - this is why we buy different atomizers - if every atomizer is the same, would not be any fun :)

Perseas, on a different note, I saw that the Heron GPin spares have the larger pin base (the one that makes contact with the nut and bolt in the base of the Heron) also coated in silver. How well do you think the coating will stand up in the area where it makes contact with the nut and bolt?

The new GPin base that makes contact with the nut of the Heron is actually made from SS to minimize the oxidation caused by juice making contact with those parts.

Exactly that, thank you!

Overly tight belts/pants, poor diet, and nicotine all contribute heavily. I have bouts with it when I have vaped too much nicotine. This can lead to heartburn and acid reflux.

Wow, no kidding huh? I figured it was available everywhere but I guess not?

Hey man, I hope you can find some for a reasonable price soon!! :)

If you can't find Ko Gen Do look for Shiseido cotton pads. Or go to a high-end cosmetic store in Switzerland. They should have an upscale cotton pad. Just make sure its 100% cotton. There's a high-end French cotton pad that has silk in it too. I'm not sure how silk vapes. Maybe it is the next best thing after rayon. Also, you could go to a beauty supply and get some rayon coils and give it a try. I've been using it exclusively in my Herons for two weeks with amazing results.

You can also get rayon from medical supply stores but some of the surgical pads have polyester so check to make sure its 100% rayon.

You're very welcome! The Heron is a 22 mm Spheroid therefore it is designed to be used with a filler material, the fluffless builds are experimentals and suggested by users and reviewers not us. If we wanted to be used as such, we would have putted threading in the body, a different designed topper and base and we would announcing our intentions a priori. GP Heron is not a Tank atomiser but a bigger Spheroid, so when its body is filled with liquid instead of filler with liquid, the internal air pressure is changed and combined with the air slot it produces an intense whistling sound. Try a build with the intended fluff and tell me whether the whistling sound is still in annoying levels or if you have any dry hits. You can't vanish the sound completely when you have the slot wide open and the debate between tight and airy draw is old between Europe and USA. Many people in Europe complained about the v1.5 for being too airy, while others in the States wanted more air :)

Gotcha. I will give it a shot on my next build. I think the burn was cotton choke. I didn't even correlate the air pressure differences between fluff and fluffless and the whistle. Interesting... and gives me a couple of ideas. As for the draw... You can't please everyone with one device lol. I think the Heron is fine, but I am so accustomed to the airy draw on my Kayfun and RDA that it seems a bit tighter. I find that a slower draw tends to lessen the "feel" a bit.

Maybe Perseas could look into adding japanese organic cotton to the VapourArt site sometime in the future? Maybe cotton hasn't caught on in Europe yet like it has here. I had no idea that it was so hard to get there.

Not sure where you checked, but you're better off looking at a ladies' cosmetics site, rather than a vapor-type vendor.

Also you could try contacting Koh Gen Do directly and asking about European distributors.

Todai, I've looked everywhere. KGD specifically is not available. and while Sephora will ship to the UK, they will not ship to Switzerland.

Will look for the Shiseido pads. But specifically wanted to try KGD due to the lack of cotton taste in them. I don't think I'm ready to start using rayon just yet :) Plain organic cotton balls work just fine for me, just thought the pads would be easier and more manageable and no need to boil.

Pathology: Sorry to hear your are stuck with getting tests! Sending good vibes your way! :)

I must say something....

Please Pathology, jrs99, and anyone else....

Acid reflux is serious!

You must do whatever you can to prevent it! That acid, changes the lining of your esophagus. Those changes, may result in esophageal cancer. Esophageal cancer is one of the deadliest cancers. The reason, you are typically stage 4 terminal before you know you have it. I know this now. I wish I knew it before. That is what killed my Hubby #2. I always worried about his heart taking him. I should have been worried, that he often felt the need to take Tums! I wish someone had told me. Talk to your doctor. Do whatever it takes. If you are unable to resolve it, get scoped regularly. Please?

P.S.: The day my husband was diagnosed, he was a hard working, hard playing, 285 lb, ultimate larger than life 'he man'. His only symptom, for about a week, he was having a little trouble swallowing his vitamins. We had no idea he had a 7.5" tumor. It was nuts! Within a week, he never ate food again. We were told, he would pass within a month. We fought it for 1.5 years. But......................

Sorry guys. Had to.. :(

Shiseido, to me and others, is absent any cotton taste and is on par or slightly better compared to KGD depending on who you poll. I have used both extensively and slightly prefer Shiseido and am not the only one. Both are great. I haven't heard anyone say they didn't like Shiseido or that KGD was tremendously better.

Path. I certainly hope all goes well. Would it happen to the monitor of the "take home" variety?
At about 25, I went to donate blood. They wouldn't take it as they discovered an irregular heartbeat. I wore a halter for 24 hours and now have EKG added to my annual visits to my doctor. The last almost 20 years, I've lived with only an inconvenience of having an extra 5 minutes added to my routine once a year. I certainly hope you're in a similar boat, or even a "false alarm".

As for meds, believe me. I've been there. Migranes every 2 weeks, imitrix to calm them. Hearburn and acid reflux. Meds to calm them. Even cholesterol 2x per day. In 2009, I got laid off from a very stressful job....one I grew to hate. NOT coincidentally, I have had maybe 1 real migraine per year since then compared to likely 20 per year during those days. I'm off the migrain meds. My wife and I have changed our diet routine. Sometimes it's not what we eat, but how we prepare and how much we eat. It may not be the spaghetti sauce, but how it's prepared. She makes delish soups and sauces that I can eat bowls of that won't affect me the way 2 tablespoons of Ragu would. Again - one example.

Perseas is 150% right. It's a lifestyle change. Different foods, healther versions of foods you love, and portion control.

Edit: and yes, I'm off the heartburn meds too. Although I keep some handy for those rare occasions and accidents.

I hope not to be anything serious and I understand now why you chose this nickname, but maybe, just maybe, a more heathy alternative is a better personal seal. Names and words have the power of repetition and this ancient Hellenic word describes everything that happens in the body and soul except health. Forgive my silly observations, things may proved of having simple causes and be quickly cured.
I wish you the best my friend, be a little patient for the test, prevention and check is what it must be done here.

Haha, no, the name is merely coincidence for my situation. Pathology is actually just a band that I like, was was a big fan of years back, so I picked it as my online alias. I've used it for years now, and I'm used to answering to it, so it just kind of stuck. Very interesting outlook on things that you have. I enjoy very much so reading them as I tend to be very scientific-minded most times, however this does not read 'closed-minded'...I'm very open to other opinions and suggestions in all aspects of life. So, your input is always very refreshing to read.

Thank you for the best wishes. I shall be patient, and am going to do anything needed to make sure I'm healthy at the end of it all. I have a family now, so I have to take these things more seriously than I would have before.
