I will throw one word of caution to everyone. Two Ti parts sized. I am working them through the battle grounds. :)

Watch the threads after. Where you work through the particles, in some areas it's razor sharp. :)

This is one of the disadvantages of the M21x1 and M20x1 threading. There are better choices in my opinion, but the incompatibility with older versions and other mods will be an issue for some people. We are still pondering about it.

but havent you seen that on the X and the Heron threading? It seems like the threading on those are sharp as well. Not dangerous, but sharp nevertheless...

Okie dokie...I'm in business! I changed out my LUX parts for now because they aren't matchy matchy and it was bothering me ...

Gozer, The Traveler, has arrived! My very first X!

Now I just need a polished SS X converter, a LUX X converter and I'm all set for different matchy modes!

... well, and a Ti Heron tube.

The switch is amazing. I don't want to compare the X, v3, and v2.1 switches because they are all amazing ... just different from each other.

... and, yes, what Yankee said. Threading tore up my hands before I even realized it. First blood goes to the Ti X.

After about 2 hours under water I had the threads pretty good on the TiX... the biggest problem being between the main tube and the long extension tube. Had them so they could thread together all the way on one end, almost all the way on the other with just a little grittiness just before all the way together. Now they are suddenly locked up solid again without warning. Grrr! I have better things to do, tomorrow or the next is another day.

Looks fantastic! The afc ring is a must! do you have that in 18500 mode? i've been using in 650, but now i may try 18500...

I still have the same problem with the large tube. I'll have to work that out, later. It plays nice with the main tube on one end but not the other but 500 mode is my preferred with the Heron. I'll work the kinks out of the large tube and top cap....then it'll be 650 mode with the Odin ... then me and Strike will be matchy matchy too...

I'd like to know this as well. I'm hoping it looks like this one:

It will come exactly with this finish.

Now I definitely have to be up at 1am tomorrow morning so I can join the ranks of the Spheroid owners. That is just beautiful!

Yes, but while you are going through the cleaning process, you are NOT gripping some threads a little tighter. That's just gentle gripping.

Yep, 18500 mode. I have the LUX afc ring for the Heron as well but it needs a good cleaning and a LUX X converter to satisfy my OCD. In this configuration all I'm missing is a polished ss X converter :)

Well, I just realized tomorrow's VD is at 10am here in Mississippi....right smack dab in the midst of my work day! :(

I'll be hoping that some 18500 SS X tubes will still be available later on in the day.....OR, I could just "step away" for a few minutes and order one on my tablet!!

I think that's what I'll do... :)

Do I have to do this under running water? reason i ask is because California is in a drought and need to conserve water. 2hrs of running water is not good for my situation. thanks

Not necessarily. But get some water on a cup and take a toothbrush to Sean the threads while in the water cup. I did it both ways. One seam done.

Also a tip to all. You can relieve the pressure of the Ti threads by loosening the lux/ss SN rings from the tube. Then disassemble what you need. Change battery from the bottom. The pressure is relieved off the Ti threads this way.
