Not necessarily. But get some water on a cup and take a toothbrush to Sean the threads while in the water cup. I did it both ways. One seam done.

Also a tip to all. You can relieve the pressure of the Ti threads by loosening the lux/ss SN rings from the tube. Then disassemble what you need. Change battery from the bottom. The pressure is relieved off the Ti threads this way.

Thank you!!!

I would imagine the releases would be limited in number to gauge interest. But, that's me assuming. Small batches, a few times if needed.
Holidays are coming so the vapourdays will be limited for a while if that helps.
Obviously Perseas would need to answer this as he won't assume like I did. :)

Thank you Mr Yankeebobo , sounds logical. Now, you mentioned "holidays"? What holiday is coming up? I just want to make sure because I might be having the opportunity to get another X if things work out. I will be missing this first round of X tubes, but Im hoping there is another run of X's before the holidays.

Do I have to do this under running water? reason i ask is because California is in a drought and need to conserve water. 2hrs of running water is not good for my situation. thanks

The running water is for flushing the Ti shavings/filaments out. I'm assuming you can do this in a bucket, too. *swish*swish*

I have a question for all of you GP "old timers" not that I need it yet, but with the contacts being brass, is there a good brass cleaning method that does not entail pastes like autosol or cape cod? I was curious because my favorite atty take in air from the connection, in the past if I used a strong smelling cleaner the scent would go up through the connection and the smell would taint the flavour.

While I don't usually declare all my vaping purchases to my girl (I don't have THAT many in my mod collection) she knows I was waiting for my Ti. I told her it was expensive but that this one was special and I WANTED it.

I had to pull out all the stops and add that I was going to buy it for myself since my two year vaping anniversary is coming up (I quit analogs mostly at her request).

I forgot to tell her it came with a bunch of (afc/x-) rings (I do?) ...

...and another fork.

I use mesh. Rub the contacts. Clean and shiny. :)

Edit: only for the brass pieces to clarify

I'm going to wear my titanium afc ring the next time I see her and see if she notices...

P, maybe I'll get married with this afc ring. Can you engrave the inside of it for me?
