Some of they wildlife here. If they were any bigger we'd be afraid of them running off with our pets

anavidfan is cringing, retching, twitching ( normal state for me, but even more) I dont mind most animals, 2, 4, 6, or 8 legged or no legged.. .... but , and this is a big BUT, cockroaches are the one thing that affects me in a semi-phobic way.
It used to be worse, and I have been able to handle the large "pet" roaches because I know they are pets. That photo of the roach swashed and oozing is so awful to me, I would have probably thrown that holster away and taken that mod apart and disinfected it, even going as far as dumping the juice and fluff away......
As we all know here, we are a little OCD with the details
Vladislav, the Ukrainian reviewer is of the same OCD breed and he asked me about the order of the tubes, so he wrote about the "correct" order in his review, but he probably missed the point. My preferred order is the main tube to be always connected with the switch. The reasons are 2:
1. Every X is polished as a whole having its parts in that exact order to keep their seams less obstructive, as Firestorm correctly said.
2. For a quick change of mode from 18350 to 18500/650/800.

You're very welcome! I forgot to check his photos in detail, so mea culpa.
I am VERY phobic about roaches (in public or not) but this one's not squished ... those are probably some stains on the garage floor.
I think this may have been my cat's plaything for a bit because it was in immaculate (if you can call it that) condition and still even a bit wiggly... UGH!
I kicked it out to the driveway and properly incinerated it with a blowtorch. That one isn't coming back to haunt me but who knows about its family *shudder*
I actually put the mod there very briefly as a size reference ;-) and gave it an alcohol wipe afterwards just to be sure.

O.K. my family. This is a long held secret. So, don't tell anyone. The ONLY bug that kinda creeps me out, is maggots. Resulting, from a childhood experience But, like I said, shhhh....... don't tell.

crap, I've been trying to make sure we have enough supplies just in case we are without power for extended period time since there are two hurricanes heading this way. I forgot one very important thing... I have no way to charge the batteries for my mods without ac power! I have some backup external batteries but they're only good for usb output. bleh ...
I'll have to go shopping today...
edit: I suppose I could build some higher resistance builds and use my Spheroid on some of my older ego sized batteries ...

Stay safe. That's first. As for batteries, we tend to lose power more than anything around here. Once we were down for a few days. I charged up all batteries we had. Even older "retired" batts we didn't yet properly dispose of. Never had an issue.
Seems like hoarding. But in a pinch, even those older batteries CAN be useful for a bit. We almost have several rotations. With each new battery order, we dispose of the 3rd previous batch.

You should look into solar to keep your batteries charged. It is what we have used in our off the grid home. A very simple set up can keep your batteries going. Hope your well

I bought a small one this year for longer camping trips. I've yet to go on one long enough to necessitate packing it.

I think I'd like to have an off-grid hideaway. Real estate is so high around here, though. I'm still working on the on-grid home!
Hopefully the worst of the storms will pass you by.
If you have plenty of batteries, do not buy more - buy a large generator to power your charger and provide light to fill attys!
We have contemplated moving to it full time at some point. It has been a work in progress. In 1954 a very wealthy individual set a few train cars and a Caboose by helicopter into the Sawtooth Mountain Range and D and I were lucky enough to know the family and acquire them. He was eccentric to say the least.
If you have ever read "Into the Wild" it is much the same idea for me, just getting away. Last year we did a good amount of work on our solar system and am close to completing the project. We have a beautiful creek that runs through but a big goal of mine is to pipe a well deep enough so as not to have to worry about micro organisms. Many think snow cap runoff is safe to drink but in fact can be very dangerous. Stupid mistakes will kill a guy in the wild(Into the Wild).
D and I should be there now already but, are far behind and are dealing with quite a bit right now that is delaying our summer escape from peoples

. This is right out our back door, seems to trap the brook trout nicely.
I use a couple battery banks especially for camping trips (which I have scheduled next week). One has a solar panel integrated with the battery as well as accepts additional add-on solar panels for faster charging. I have another one with more than double the capacity, sans the integrated solar panel, but will still accept add-on solar panels. ReVive Restore and ReVive Solar Restore batteries are nice to have handy.

My summer home, was off-the-grid. Many of our friends there were. I had a friend, who raised her five children on the mountain she owned. They were totally self-sustaining. They did not need to come down from the mountain, unless they wanted to. Her kids rarely came down off the mountain, but they were impressive and amazing kids.
Did I ever tell you guys... Norman and I had a phone installed in a lock box out by our road. He would drive down our two mile long driveway, and attend Board Meetings on that phone. So fun!
