We have contemplated moving to it full time at some point. It has been a work in progress. In 1954 a very wealthy individual set a few train cars and a Caboose by helicopter into the Sawtooth Mountain Range and D and I were lucky enough to know the family and acquire them. He was eccentric to say the least.
If you have ever read "Into the Wild" it is much the same idea for me, just getting away. Last year we did a good amount of work on our solar system and am close to completing the project. We have a beautiful creek that runs through but a big goal of mine is to pipe a well deep enough so as not to have to worry about micro organisms. Many think snow cap runoff is safe to drink but in fact can be very dangerous. Stupid mistakes will kill a guy in the wild(Into the Wild).
D and I should be there now already but, are far behind and are dealing with quite a bit right now that is delaying our summer escape from peoples :). It isnt an easy place to get to. And if you find it and didnt mean too, I guarantee your lost.

Heres a few pics. The pictures can not replace the peace.

I actually hauled in 100 bags of concrete to build a septic tank under it to protect the water table.

I may of built an eagles nest to keep an eye on things . This is right out our back door, seems to trap the brook trout nicely.

Looks fantastic! I wish i could unplug right now and go there! I dont mind getting lost. Seems that somehow you find yourself at moments like that...but alas, tis not the time. I am trapped in a concrete jungle for now, but I take comfort in the fact that the heavens guide me...anyhoo, love the hammock! (in addition to everything else :) ) perhaps I'll see you in the other side of the rainbow

Ha. Looks like one of Spydro's lightning bolts got it for you.
I'll never forget my first vacation in Hawaii (Kaui I think it was.) We happily checked into a great hotel on the beach, went to use the toilet in our room and found a couple of roaches the size of our cats. Called the front desk and they replied that that's why the bug spray is in the bathroom.:p
Love Hawaii. Not so sure about all the tropical pests.
Some of they wildlife here. If they were any bigger we'd be afraid of them running off with our pets :p

I was pleased to see that my battery charger came with a cable to be used in a car cig lighter. Never thought much about it until your post.
crap, I've been trying to make sure we have enough supplies just in case we are without power for extended period time since there are two hurricanes heading this way. I forgot one very important thing... I have no way to charge the batteries for my mods without ac power! I have some backup external batteries but they're only good for usb output. bleh ...

I'll have to go shopping today...

edit: I suppose I could build some higher resistance builds and use my Spheroid on some of my older ego sized batteries ...

I'm good with a tiny house. As long as I have a large warehouse for my stuff. :)

Actually, I don't have that much stuff left. I seriously downsized, when I got rid of my last warehouse. :)

You crack me up:laugh:
Taxes? Riiiiiight.
There is far more to it than the pics. We have built another couple rooms off, have started some other A frame shelters and are improving it yearly. No people for miles. We have a few trappers that when passing stop in and good friend that is much of a roaming mountain man? He goes by the name of thumbs and wears a kilt and plays his bagpipes throughout the mountain range living in a nearby cave.
His thumbs are much longer than any of his fingers and boasts powerful hands period.
I often tell him he'd be a champion hitchhiker, lol.

If you get a chance read, The Last Mountain Man. Maybe Google him. He was a friend and lived an incredible and interesting life in Idaho. From his survival to war with the government. His compound was a blast and we would float the Salmon River, meet up with him and he taught us how to hunt and prepare for survival.
I know Spydro can shed some light on the life.

Previously, I never tracked my juice usage. But, I was curious. Now, keep in mind, I have been incapacitated for months with shingles. So, I am vaping much more than normal. I purchase my juice in 500ml bottles. Do I vape a lot?

Bottle #1 37 days 13.51351 ml daily
Bottle #2 39 days 12.83051 ml daily

Curious? What are most paying per ml for their juice?

I am a flavor chaser, so it gets had for me to track, I generally have atleast five devices diff flavors that carry with me everyday, and more at home that I rotated out, for me a general price is $12-$15 per 15 ml. I only buy bigger with I love the juice and know that it will stay in my rotation, like caramel maccioto, French toast, unicorn milk, gvc and dirty cowboy (tastes
Ike my camel special lights... Then fruity flavors I get on kicks... Right now I a, loving clown serum it is blueberry strawberry with a grape kick!

I also trade a lot of juices so!

Noho palekana brah.

I was on Kauai about two months after Hurricane Iwa in 1982 looking for the elusive Tinostoma smaragditis (Sphingidae). It was only a cat1 storm but did massive damage. Then again on Kauai looking for the same about four months after Hawaii's next major tropical storm made landfall as Hurricane Iniki in Sept 1992. It was a cat 4 hurricane with winds in excess of 140MPH. I think it is still considered the most destructive in Hawaii's recorded history. It pretty much destroyed the island and it had barely started to recover four months after it. The natural habitates destroyed will take a lifetime to recover. But they were after the fact, so I only experienced the end results of them. During the years I spent considerable time in Hawaii (1980-1994) the worst tropical storm I actually experienced those years was on Maui in late Jan 1994, and it was nothing compared to a hurricane.

Love it just doesn't get it all said bro. As you know I love that area (it could be said that I spent some time in it). ;)

About 10-11 years ago I came real close to buying a very remote high mountain place several miles out of Dixie, ID. It was at the end of a SR Road that you had to get past the gate and drive through the huge private property of some year-round residents to get to. IOW, nobody could just come knocking unless the neighbors allowed them through their place, and that would have been up to me. It was 80 acres, had a nice enough cabin for me, a workshop, spring, came with both a 4X4 ATV and snowmobile and was hemmed in on three sides by Nati'l Forest that went on for endless miles with no access except by foot/horseback, and had a huge view out over the Salmon River gorge far below. In the end I decided that being snowed in half the year or more was better left to someone younger, so I didn't buy it and looked at cabins in the Crescent Lake area of NE WA and at ranches in both Montana and New Mexico instead. I also didn't buy them.... the reality was again that they were too much for too old to start that kind of adventure alone. I had some pictures of it (and the other places) on my laptop that is out of service... but with some work could be powered up again to see if they are still there. Unfortunately I've been dealing with a medical issue the last few days that puts that off right now. Hopefully it will finally be handled today and I can get back to the normal routine. So maybe I'll try to get it dug out and powered up later and post the pictures of that ID place for you if I still have them.

Actually, I don't have that much stuff left. I seriously downsized, when I got rid of my last warehouse. :)

I hear that gal pal. I get by with a tiny place to live in now too. With the health issues it's more than enough to take care of. So long gone are the huge homes, or even normal homes, I live in what I call a bungalow. That's my live in space... the remaining "stuff" has to be in storage. But I've managed to scale the storage way down too by throwing truckloads of stuff away every time I moved from house to house the last 20+ years, the divorce 12 years ago way more than half went elsewhere, and in the years since lots more so that when I'm gone nobody will have to deal with it. Going down from a large ranch house with huge garages and a shop to a bungalow 5+ years ago meant a huge cutback. Since then I also went down from 2 large storage garages to just one, and it also has my Corvette in it. Note: I am not a hoarder, I just bought way too many collections, etc all my life to use and as investments (then tossed most of them out instead of selling them). Come to think of it, I still buy too much stuff, but now it's mostly limited to vaping "stuff". ;)

I go through a lot of joose too since I vape pretty much 24/7, run sub ohm single/dual/quad coils in some of my gear and take long lung hits. I also run several rigs all at the same time so refills can vary from multiple per day to only every other day. I've never tried to keep track of how much joose I use daily on average.

Price per mil will vary widely based on how proud they are of it, the size bought and shipping, so that's something else I have never paid much attention to. I've bought premades in 5-6ml, 10ml, 12ml, 15ml, 30 ml, 50ml, 90ml and 100ml bottles, but nothing bigger. So the price spread per ml was very wide I'm sure.

If cost counts for you nothing can beat DIY. When you start doing DIY you soon realize just how much mark up there really is in premade liquids. But even with DIY, your final cost depends on how large the bottles of PG, VG, Nic and flavors you bought was. Buy PG/VG by the gallon, 100mg nic in 250ml or 500ml bottles (and freeze it broken down into 15ml or 30ml bottles), flavors in as large a bottle as you can find and a supply of reuseable Boston glass bottles to make them in and you can make your liquids for just pennies comparied to buying them premade (if you don't count your time to do them).

I'm finding that I'm pretty much right in that category. I seriously have to find a more economical place to get liquid I like our I'm going to have to DIY soon.

Yaeliq is good for me at $18/100ml but it takes weeks to get it.

I'm going to inquire about larger bottles soon.

I sure didn't like any of his that I tried. Still have a couple of 90's about 3/4's full bought a year ago and still have them mainly becuse they didn't turn coal black and get tossed out months ago like the others did. But a gal pal bought something like 35-40 90ml bottles from him last summer because she and her boyfriend liked them so much. Hmmm... you're on the PO, they're on the coast of it, so maybe the salt air makes them taste better. ;)

I've been strictly on DIY for 6-7 months. I started because shipping costs were out of hand, the local B&M stopped carrying what I liked, and with the diacetyl thing I wanted to control what was going into my juices. I never bought into "our juices contain NO DIACETYL" comments from the venders. I mainly stick to a certain few recipes but am bummed as I love most of the flavors that normally contain diacetyl or it's substitutes. I really need to look into infusing my own vanilla flavors. I seem to recall that Jojo was doing that at some point.

It was a BIG expense starting up with it but there is a lot of self-satisfaction in the whole process. It was kinda like when I was home brewing beer. I must have brewed 85-90 cases during that time and I loved it. But man does that stuff out on the weight!
