Hey all, I am flying out of town tomorrow and this is the first time that I will be taking vape gear. It will be a one day trip so I will be going through the security check and I won't have luggage to check.

Is there usually any issues that I should be aware of? I will carry my mod/tank in a slip case with some papers.

I put my liquid in the one quart ziplock bag that you're allowed to make things easier. You may also want to remove batteries from mods (if you can) prior to security just in case.

Did you see the recent news item where an e-cig was smoldering in checked luggage before a takeoff? I don't know the full details, but I hate seeing things like this that are sure to fuel ANTZ propaganda and perhaps help bring about restrictions.

    Thank you for the tips!

Since it's a one day trip I'm just taking my X in 350 mode with a Kayfun on top and an extra battery. So no extra juice...just what's in the KFL.

Jerry just recently flew, I put everything in a quart sized bag and had no problem, you have to take it out of your carry on for security, I might suggest you do take a bit of juice just in case the kayfun leaks, I had my juice, and my ecig devices in the same bag and I carried on. No problem.

Make sure you empty your Kayfun or it may leak due to cabin pressure.

Oh how I love my Heron cuz of this.

Happened to me....I took 2 Kayfuns and a Taifun on a trip to Arizona a few months ago....All 3 leaked due to pressure changes......I have had MUCH better luck with my Spheroids which aren't "pressure sensitive".....Now, I almost exclusively travel with my Spheroids......

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday!! :)

I know someone mentioned once that threat KFs suffer from atmospheric changes and tend to link. I believe Kataphraktos and Idaho both may have mentioned this. Kata even mentioned decending a couple flights and leaking. Not saying not to take it but if be having a reserve juice on the side. Perhaps an emergency spheroid just in case. It's small

Been looking for this thread for about two weeks lol. Who would have thought it would be in the VapourArt sub-forum [face palm for being an idiot]

Thought I'd pop in and say hi. Also have a couple questions:

1.) Have a paps v3 Lux and it is starting to patina because of my heavy, frequent use...what are good methods to restore it to its original aluminum bronze luster without damaging it?

2.) I have 2 18650 tubes (v2.1 and v3) and neither work with button top batteries. The 500 tube works fine with a button top. Any one else experience this?

I buy clear plastic tubes with caps that I use to store my mods and I also use them to store my KFLs when I fly. I get a little leaking just by putting the caps on (which presumably creates more pressure in the tube) but not much more than that. I wonder if you could eliminate the pressure problem just by placing a KFL in a closed ziplock bag making it a closed system.

Hope your well. There are many opinions on the subject of polishing and we have discussed many times. Personally, I prefer Autosol metal polish as many with high end devices. Many here also use Cape Cod cloth and/or Sharkshide. Of the two I would say Sharkshide is superior but, Cape Cod is a solid choice.
Even Mothers is a great wax/cleaner. It would be personal choice of the ones mentioned but they are all good but, again I am a fan of Autosol and/or Sharkshide.
Just make sure if you deviate from these to stay away from products with grit or abrasive properties such as Brasso.

It sounds like you may have purchased the tubes used? The V3 is delivered from Vapour Art and Domo with a long and short pin for the GPin that is easily interchangeable for various batteries. Sonds like you only have the short pin installed. If this is true I would be happy to send you a longer pin for your 650 connection.

The 2.1 being an adjustable telepost there are a couple of battery posts. One has a thinner head and the other will be thicker to allow "more reach" from post to battery nipple.

Note, this may be the first time n my GP history that I used the word nipple legitimately. There are days that I just can't be too proud of myself. :)
