Hey, OK
I wanted to try both copper and brass, just to see the patina color difference, if any.
So if you do the brass, and I do the copper, we can compare.
I'm not sure there will be much difference, as I've never been able to hold one of each and compare.
It took me a long time to find just "the right one" to work with, so now I'm "gun-ho", starting tomorrow.
Keep me posted :pop:
You have to take a lot of pictures too :p
Haven't gotten mine yet, but working on it!

The patina color on both copper and brass can be basically same, just depends on what chemicals/process you use to force the patina.

I bought two brass Reo doors to do different patina's on... one will be mostly blues, greens and black, the other red and black or yellows and browns. The first PAPS alu-bronze tube will probably get greens and golds.

I have formula's for all colors on all metals using hot and/or cold processes. They're out there if you do the research. But when messing around with chemicals, please follow the MSDS on the chemicals you are using and always use the appropriate safety measures. Even over the counter chemicals can be deadly, but they can be far more so when you start changing their properties when used together for forcing patina.

So, the new GP X SS Edition, is an 'X' with a solid tube in either 500 or 650 mode(Plus an 'X' ring.)? No other changes?

Last Vapor Day I bought the parts to build my own X SS 18500. I like having my 2 Senio Drippers on the 18500 SS and LUX X's much better than on the 18500 SS and LUX V3's I had them on. I really love the X switches, not so much my three V3's (even prefer the 2.1 I have over them).

I watched so many video's last night, that I'm re-planning this project.
I'm taking an el-cheapo piece of copper pipe, cutting it into 5 or 6 pieces, and I'm going to try several of the versions I have seen demonstrated.
Should be interesting.
Naturally I want my mod to look really cool, so checking out different methods has become a priority.
Check out this thread:

Should be a lot of fun.

Defiantly, safety first ...don't want to gas myself
I would love to get some yellows to show up.
I really need to play with this before trying it on my mods.
Perseas would probably book a flight to come after me if I posted pictures of ruining one of his mods
And I would cry too .........
Thanks Spydro
