I believe i tried cutting it to 45mm.. but i notice the ends of the wraps don't meet when I roll it.. one side is thicker one side is thinner.. should the thickness be equal all the way around spheroid?

Wouldn't make much of a difference. as long as the tank inners are well fluffed - you're good.

when you use that length and you wrap it.. one side is thicker than the other side right?

You are correct that when I use a piece of 45mm x 20mm fluff in the Spheroid that it doesn't wrap evenly around the bell. As long as it touches the walls of the tube, you're okay. I try to unravel it and even it out and make sure it touches when I first fill it, but once it's filled you can't really tell that it was originally uneven.

Heron is better than the spheroid?

The Spheroid is 16mm and the Heron is 22mm. They both use fluff and are similar in design. The Heron is meant to hybrid connect to a 20x1 threaded tube like the GP Paps, although it has an adapter to hybrid with the GP Paps X and an adapter to fit any 510 connection (both are purchased separately). The Heron also has AFC and obviously has a larger capacity. I don't really have an opinion on which is better.

Thanks for the suggestions.. I will try and make sure its fluffed enough and fully touches the bell.. I think in a couple of spots it doesn't make it to the outside... I been experimenting with mesh wicks.. THe flavor is really clean and great.. just need to get it to wick a little better.. when the tank is full its awesome..

For fluff dimensions and placement, take a look below:

Keep the interior of the base clean to maintain a good airflow.

When I first built my new Heron I opted to try it without the topper. I am using KGD and at first it seemed to work ok. But after refilling the juice a couple of time I found that the KGD wasn't doing well for maintaining the contact with the fluff. There aren't a whole lot of worse things than taking a big draw on burnt cotton. Everything tasted BURNT after that.

So I put the topper in and so far it's working great.

Also, there are some listings for length of fluff in the tip and tricks. There is quite a lot of thickness between various fluffs so saying that this or that length works best is really based on how dense the fluff is. I just got a couple of sheet of v2 fluff from Blake and that's what I used in my first build on my Heron. I started with 16mm x 65mm, which was recommended in the tips and tricks and it wasn't nearly enough fill on my Heron. I had read where Idahobro had suggested a length of 125mm** so that's what I went with and it seems to be working fine. I still had to fluff it out since it was more compressed on one side of the tank. It evened out nicely though.

**Maybe it was 145mm in length for the Heron, I'll need to check. (I just checked and it is 114-127mm for the length of VapourArt v2 fluff)

On one of the links what i dont get.. I spent extra to get some GP fluff ....... In his pic he is says 45mm x 20mm and 2mm thickness when in its fully fluffed state.. How could that be? When my GP fluff is new its fluffed out much more than 2mm.. If i some how tried to trim the thickness to 2mm How the hell would it even fit at 45 mm? I tell you rbas are aggravating to me.. so many variables .. THe nautilus mini i stick in a head and it vapes great with tons of flavor in two seconds. This is how high to keep the coil the coil size.. what kind of fluff, how much fluff how thick the fluff, what kind of wick, how long the wick is.. what density mesh.. how should u form it a loop.. one tail two tails, how short the tails, how thick the wick.. Its like an endless barrage of variables and you never know which one to use because you could come up with 3 billion combinations of wick/coil sizes and positioning s. i could use a big coil and that might work better with a short wick.. i could use a small coil that might work better with a long looped wick.. I guess I have to do 3,000 combinations to find the right method to get this thing to wick like my nautilus mini

I dont worry about the thickness at all. Ignore that. I cut it at 2-2.5" x 3/4" after you open the pad up. 2.5-3 for heron. When you wrap it around the bell it will sort itself out. The fluff from GP is perfect thickness.
The 3/4 is constant. The 2-2.5 will depend on the juice thickness. Pure vg, blend, or pure pg.
Trust me. You may try a few builds but you wont become a mad scientist over GP.
Ive had mods and attys that you had to pray to the gods above hoping for hope that the same build you always use wouldn't wander off. :)

Thanks for the measurements.. interesting.. I read a lot about 20mm by 45mm.. I use a 50/50 blend so im assuming you would suggest 2 and 1/4 inches long... Not sure how the thickness doesn't matter being that a thick fluff might not need to be as long. When i wrap using 45mm one side is thicker than the other. I rather it wick better than store my juice.. just throwing it out there.

I would likely try a 2 1/4" piece. You can always take a little off the length. Just remove the upper bell from the tube and find the end and trim a little.

What I mean about thickness is this. All of gp's fluff is the same. So when I say I keep the thickness as it came its that thickness they sell it at. The spare fluff he sells are folded in quarters much like a smaller napkin. Open it up to the full square, cut hour piece. Fold the rest back up and put it in the baggie. The thickness is more important when using aquarium filler. (I tried once to test and won't use it)
A tip ive shared before (I still use it just dont tell anyone) I have a cardboard template a thin like cereal box cardboard. I have it set to 2 1/4" x 3/4" All I do is lay it on and cut. I know which juice I'm using in the mod so I can eyeball the 1/4 less or more. Its width is always the same (3/4") once you roll it on the bell and put the tube back on you will use a screwdriver and spin the fluff in the opposite direction of the wrap to "open it up" and make sure it touches the wall.
My first fill is with a syringe. It not then be patient filling it and let the gravity work for you.

Yup, agree completely. I've found the Spheroid to be very forgiving.
No doubt you can fine tune it, but I've never had a bad build in it. Use Yankee's basics and it'll work fine. I usually use a silica loop wick, just because. If it touches the fluff it works dandy. Then, if you feel like it, play on.

A couple of years ago, I found my 'happy place' with e-juice. My local vape store, orders their coffee VG e-juice for me in 500ml bottles. Great juice! Great price. Suddenly, I am having a reaction to it. Like, there is an irritant. Thinking, that batch may have been the problem, I ordered again. Same thing. The manufacturer swears there has been no change in their ingredients. I am fairly certain, something has changed. Possibly, something on their supplier's side. I can vape any of their other flavors(yuck), and there is no problem. Maybe, a change in the coffee flavor being supplied to them? I just don't know.

So, I am sick, and I have also lost my vaping 'happy place'. Not very happy... :(

On a good note... Starting yesterday, my lung shingles decided to torture me a tad bit less. Yes! :)

BTW: Hey Family! Sending smiles out to you all! :)
