I believe i tried cutting it to 45mm.. but i notice the ends of the wraps don't meet when I roll it.. one side is thicker one side is thinner.. should the thickness be equal all the way around spheroid?

when you use that length and you wrap it.. one side is thicker than the other side right?
Heron is better than the spheroid?
Thanks for the suggestions.. I will try and make sure its fluffed enough and fully touches the bell.
yes sorry i meant the outter walls of the tube. Have any of you guys messed with mesh ?
Thanks for the suggestions.. I will try and make sure its fluffed enough and fully touches the bell.. I think in a couple of spots it doesn't make it to the outside... I been experimenting with mesh wicks.. THe flavor is really clean and great.. just need to get it to wick a little better.. when the tank is full its awesome..
I would likely try a 2 1/4" piece. You can always take a little off the length. Just remove the upper bell from the tube and find the end and trim a little.
What I mean about thickness is this. All of gp's fluff is the same. So when I say I keep the thickness as it came its that thickness they sell it at. The spare fluff he sells are folded in quarters much like a smaller napkin. Open it up to the full square, cut hour piece. Fold the rest back up and put it in the baggie. The thickness is more important when using aquarium filler. (I tried once to test and won't use it)
A tip ive shared before (I still use it just dont tell anyone) I have a cardboard template a thin like cereal box cardboard. I have it set to 2 1/4" x 3/4" All I do is lay it on and cut. I know which juice I'm using in the mod so I can eyeball the 1/4 less or more. Its width is always the same (3/4") once you roll it on the bell and put the tube back on you will use a screwdriver and spin the fluff in the opposite direction of the wrap to "open it up" and make sure it touches the wall.
My first fill is with a syringe. It not then be patient filling it and let the gravity work for you.
