I guess I'm the only one then that thinks there is an empty place for a missing GP atomizer. But a finely machined rda that looks like a Heron (but shorter) and with a shorter wider bore drip tip big enough to drip though. It could even have the same style post placement, just longer like a Velocity and with holes for the coil leads. And large adjustable airflow that comes from the top but is really channeled through the top cap on the inside to hit the coils from the sides. That way you wouldn't have gaping holes on the sides of the sleek looking combo. And it wouldn't leak. The only trick would be figuring out how to do the airflow and still make it sleek and simple. But VapourArt seems to be pro at this sort of thing.

Good points, thank you! A top airflow won't come for the Heron 2 (a work in progress), we follow the design of the Spheroid 4. I agree with the gaping holes, for some may be obtrusive, but every design has compromises. A top airflow has more complicated parts and increased cost. Our atties are leak resistant in the current design.

hmm... P, can my v3 tube be refinished to match my v4 switch? I was thinking about a new tube but that would eventually make me buy more parts to make another mod.

I think I'd like a matching v3 tube (since it has the logo there as well) :)

edit: hmm... I don't know if this will work. the v3 tube and the v4 switch seem to have very slight differences in OD.

Any matching refinishing has to be done with all parts together, since it is hand polishing.
As for the slight differences, they occur because these parts have been hand polished separately.

Can I prepay for my Heron 2 now before the exchange rate goes back to it was before? Heh!

I totally understand! for 29EU I really should just buy another v4 tube. But then I'd have a tube without a switch and you know we can't let that happen!

Hmm... OR I could try my hand at this GP PnB tool I have right here that I haven't ever used, yet ... hmmm....

We don't even know the cost yet, sorry we can't accept prepayment for a project.

PnB is a solution, if you're careful.

You're very welcome and thank you for the fantastic photo! You really like the aluminium bronze tubes v2.5 :)

I tried to resist the golden look, but I really like it. Im sure it has to do with your alumni-bronze. The tone is amazing.

I don't really use mechs anymore (besides my Piccoloid), but I'm having a hard time holding back on this v4...I feel like this would actually get used quite often by me :)

Dems,
Don't hold back! This thing is a dream.
Don't know what moved you away from mechs, but using a v4 may just lure ya' back!
Besides, empty pockets love company. Join the club! ;)

You know.... after seeing this, I want to put my alubronze Heron AFC ring back on!
It makes for an attractive accent, for certain. The SS ring makes the rig look seamless.
Either way, a Heron on a v4 is a complete package!
Enjoy!

Oh lawd. An hour to catch up. Rockin and rollin.
I see LOTS of gorgeous switches in the photos. I didn't "like" any as I tried my best to just quickly catch up. But all look mighty fine!

Q got his wish with the custom engraving. Nice touch P. That alone will have to have me consider at least another mod (even though I have more than I can handle at the moment ). I somehow see a Yankee engravement in my future someday. But I did read how P was saying it was just conspiracy targeting the money. Ha. Besides it will have to wait some since my new vaping shack has arrived (photo below).

The gpin had been the best sanity saver period. Ever. If I had a vote, I would say regardless of burning out the energy on a crystal ball to speculate which pin to install in the Design Heavens, just keep it the same pin no matter what size tube. Then include a card with the message "Your GP gem comes pre-installed with the longer of the sanity saving pins. But for your adaptive needs, Master P and his design gurus have included a smaller shruken pin for those batteries that swell and contract. We thank you for vaping in the GP ASYLUM."

Vape on. Be good to each other. And remember...size does matter.

I am having a blast using my v4 with a velocity right now, but just to test out the GPin, I decided to try a few other of my atomizers on it. The majority of them work great, but I notice that there are a few with longer 510 connections such as the authentic Tugboat v2 that do not sit flush because the atomizer side of the GPin must reach its maximum movement. This is not a huge flaw and I think that some of these modders need to follow a bit closer to convention now with a reasonably sized 510 threading and a pin that just sticks out a bit past the threads. But I also wonder if maybe the GPin was adjusted slightly it would work for these longer 510 attys?

@perseas do you know about this?
