I'm happy. VapinBill told me to buy it, so I scored a Ti as well. Not sure if I'll be able to work it into my rotation as I too go to some gnarly places. I'll probably be like Bill and only use it on holidays. Maybe I'll just keep it in the box and put it on my dashboard so I can look at it all day while I do work. Oh that reminds me, I need to get some Vaseline.

Well worse case, setup a nice evening dessert vape and enjoy it in the evening during some downtime. :)

It will be a true test won't it? As we've touched on it, I got to thinking how many GP's I've said the same. The last was my LUX X. This one is going to stay right next to my vaping chair and stand...bla bla bla...Now I find the Lux X everywhere from our drives to outside while I am doing chores. I will say that I take incredible care of them though. Especially now, with the holsters!
I think I have lied to myself and you BroBro so, I apologize in advance. I fear the Ti will be a mod that is going to be used as intended....hard.
Again, I apologize in advance :). I feel like I am going to vape it like I kidnapped it from Greece myself.

I'll end up doing that too I imagine Idaho. In 6 months, it'll look like it came through a war zone I'm afraid. Oil fields and the like are a harsh environment for jewelry. I'll just take good care of the threads and switch, damn the torpedoes on the finish.

Eventually.

I love your attitude, I think that just because something is costly, that it should not impede anyone from using it like it should. Titanium is a strong metal, not delicate in any way except that it is lighter. I see many photos of collections in some threads and other than they must have a LOT of money and can afford to buy for display purposes, I cant understand it.

I think these items should be used and enjoyed. Let them get that beautiful " lovingly used" surface scuffs, swirls, etc. Unless I for some crazy reason , I had a device made of a precious metal such as gold, sterling or platinum, I might save it for "at home" use, and only because of its value, not because they are delicate.

I think all that got a Ti should use it and enjoy it unless its bought as an investment piece......

I think Perseas said he is making some seamless 23mm SS tubes in 350/500 sizes for the X in limited numbers, so I will be very interested in grabbing those when they come, along with an 18500 v3 serialized mod.

An 18350 tube already exists for the X - it comes with it. There's a seamless 18650 LUX tube for the X and I got a face palm from the man himself (and others) when I expressed interest in a seamless 18500 LUX tube, so don't hold your breath.

I finally got my v3 and Heron back from a long vacation. While I was taking it apart for a thorough cleaning, I was reminded about my main pet peeve about the Heron. Whenever I'm disassembling it, it always seems to slice my fingers up. I don't notice until afterwards, I think because the threads are so sharp. I haven't seen anyone else mention this, so I'm thinking that maybe mine is just extra sharp? Any tips on how I can avoid this in the future, or is there a way I can safely dull the threads down without messing them up?

In other news, the new Hellfire dripper on a PAPS v3 is a fantastic vape. I'm looking forward to using the Heron again, after it finishes drying.

I found cuts on my fingers last week and I couldn't tell you how I got them. I hate when that happens. Fortunately they're now healed.

Is it true that the ti owners should ONLY use ti wire? Just looking at the reports...maybe a ti stove ;) ...a ti mod...some ti wire...a ti tshirt...a ti coffee cup...the list just goes on and on...

As long as you take the battery out of the mod before firing as per instruction. :)

Yeah, vaptamist ive gotten those cuts on my index figer from trying to unscrew the heron base. A couple of wonderful users around here suggested a rubberband. It works like a charm and saves your skin from those nasty cuts...

Thats a good idea! I'll give that a shot. Thanks!

A light pass with a 1000 grit paper (attention: a light pass only), is enough to smoothen a sharp edge in any threading. We pay attention to the smoothness of our threads, maybe we should change their overall shape in the future batches.

Regarding the 18650 and 18500 X tubes, we have produced a small number in SS & Lux Edition and will have them available in a few days.

Perseas, I think I found the issue, can I send you a PM?

If you keep producing the good stuff, Jojo is going to have a chat with me. :)

I just like to be polite and ask :) PM'ing you now.

I like you....... I also find that when or if someone has a problem, that I like to contact the reseller/ modder in private too. Many times its something that is from user issues, or obvious "one in a million" issues. I have seen small issues/ non issues get blown out of proportion in the vaping community. Rumors fly and a tiny snowflake ends ends up being an avalanche.

Sweet - thanks Perseas! I'll be on the lookout. I'm most excited about the 18500 LUX tube, but I'd get an 18650 LUX tube too.

You delivered on my desires for spare GPins and now 18500 LUX tubes for the X. I can only imagine that a v3 flat top cap with a GPin is next.

Preemptive face palm:
